I did just see a shave kit on marketplace for half off..... but, at least for now the plan is 2" lift, all terrains and street duty. I was a little bummed the 06 axle didn't have a factory limited slip or locker though.
Got the new axle in and everything hooked up!06 brake hose used standard thread at the frame.so that was easy.two short side silverado ebrake cables and creative placement of mounting tabs got the ebrake set up. Spring pads and shock mounts were easy. @ColoJeep This is the 30 gal blazer tank. Squarebody blazer crossmembers and blazer fuel door

Measured for,and ordered a tom woods rear driveshaft for the k20. 1350 ujoint at the tcase and 1410 at the rear axle. Made some bump stop extensions for the rear out of square tube and got them in(the squarebody 7 leaf pack i took from a 1 ton give it 2-3" inch lift).
With that the bed went back on the truck hopefully to stay!
Also got the silverado fan shroud to fit with some trimming. It isn't the fanciest looking swap.but adapting the silverado radiator and other components means local parts stores can get me going again from the side of the road. Rather than needing to order conversion $tuff and waiting weeks
Next step in the underhood cleanup is a bulkhead connector to send the obd2/mil lamp wires through the firewall,a new coolant bottle that isn't stained and gross and hydroboost to save a bunch of space and get better braking. Need a new heater core too.
