Things aren't so bad now . . . . are they ?
Much better now. We finally finished up the most stubborn piece of shit rig I've been around in a fair bit. It fought us every single step of the way just doing simple things we can do in our sleep.
Put on Genright aluminum fronts with the inner fender kit. Get them installed whilst fighting the inner fenders every single step and every single fastener. Get all the shit bolted back up to the new inners and the last thing is the factory air box. It won't work. Take everything back apart, reinstall the factory fenders, cut them, beat them into submission to get the aluminum fenders on and I get to eat the labor for the first install and the inner fender kit.
Get that done, go to put on the Savvy rock rails. Helper mis-sets a nutsert for the rock rail, whole rock rail has to come back off to fix it.
Go to install the Genright rear flares, one tab isn't welded, snaps the tack weld, have to have a new one shipped out and the other one returned.
Owner orders wheel spacers. They arrive non hub-centric with metric studs. I have to order the right ones.
Owner orders Genright extreme flares, needs regular flares.
This all started due to ignoring my advice to run 37's and we are converting it back to 35's after 2 years of fighting DW. 17" BBK has to be a Super 16 now, so it comes off and the Super goes on.
Hardtop glass won't stay shut. Plastic lip is broken across the bottom. Won't get here in time so I swap on a glass from one of mine and now I have to fix his bad one to make myself whole.
Have to dismount interior floor speaker pods to get inner brace in place. Take great care to keep the bolts just long enough for a full thread engagement on the nut, bitch at the owner, he says that he not using them, just toss them in the back. I could have saved some hassle knowing that up front.
And of course, it has a near new Optima in it and now it is on the charger, again.
