The douchebag of the day thread

I love seeing mod'd cars! Some make me shake my head and laugh, but got to love the persons ambition to make it their own. Like this one for example. Its almost like the Porsche 959 awd, expect in flat black.

I agree 100%,,but,,,picking apart peoples rigs is akin to criticizing people's fashion choices, or a film critic picking apart a movie :)

lets not take this thread too seriously :)

and what a shame to do that to a nice Mercedes!

I agree 100%. I wouldn't try and take this thread too seriously.

Though the thread title is a bit demeaning, I think most of this is just guys being guys.

I mean let's be honest with ourselves. Who here hasn't sat in traffic and seen a rig like some of these drive by them and muttered to themselves, "Wow, look at that shit show" (or something along those lines).

Some of this stuff I actually look at as a form of comedy. I actually enjoy seeing these sort of "brodozers" as most of the time they make me laugh out loud when I'm driving.

now you have an argument :) there is nothing functional that I can see on that Mercedes, or any of those pictures for that matter!
I was referring to the different tastes we express when we build our rigs as the ones you mentioned. I will generally put function over form.

You however unless you've been less than forthcoming, do not know that the Mercedes doesn't function to make the owner a god among his own.

lol, I'm sure it does function just fine, but none of the accessories he attached to the outside of car help that any.

this is getting silly, it's all about peoples taste, not saying any of the drivers of those cars are bad people but we are all free to make fun of how they choose to decorate their cars :)

remember mimi from the Drew Carry show :) no doubt a good person but those cars remind me of her makeup!

Oh I've muttered those words or similar many times, always at someone who has built a fucked up Jeep though.

I usually wind up with their efforts at showing what they can do in the driveway and then it is a fucking riot. It's even more fun if they show up with their rigs.

Do as you will, don't be sad if it blows up in your face a bit.

On the behalf of all 959's, I strongly object to this comparison.

I'll be the first to admit that when I see something that I consider terrible coming down the road, I'm quick to say "Oh, what the fuck is this muppet doing?" and follow it with peals of laughter and/or derision...but I can absolutely guarantee that for every time I've done that, two other people have done the same thing to me. I think it's fine to have an opinion and call things as you see them, but one's position usually ends up being significantly stronger if one keeps the ego and hypocrisy somewhat at bay...or at least owns up to it. One also ends up being funnier, and sleeping better.

Am I now adequately qualified to be Susan or Nancy? Or had I already achieved that? :ROFLMAO:

I find no usefulness or endearment in trashing other people who are only exercising their Liberties and personal expression. As a matter of fact I believe when we use derogatory terms to malign people, especially, with a herd mentality (as in lets all get together and make fun of someone else to make ourselves feel more superior), we are actually weakening the great fabric of, this greatest of all countries, liberty. Why not celebrate that people see the world differently and are not forced to view the world by their governments standards, or a religious standard, or other peoples standard. Is that not what makes our country freaking fabulous.....Liberty for All! I like to respect and protect the liberties of others who do not infringe upon others liberties, because you never know which straw breaks liberties back, and you never want to be the one who does it. Sorry to be a serious downer, on a quite funny skit, but I can not watch people attack others liberty for just the fun of it. So many subjects of JEEPIN' that bring this community together with out attacking others artistic and peaceful expression. My2$. I would say I am going to go work on my TJ, but it is getting new 37" Maxxis put on. I Love Maxxis. No tire has ever made me feel so good about myself, its weird, and I don't care. Long Live USA! Long live the DDay survivors! Long live Liberty for ALL!
