Ok show and tell time. I will spread the photos out over a few posts so you guys can ask questions on any certain thing you want to know about. I have to start off thanking Blaine because this would not have been possible without his Amazing work obviously.
So how does it drive? Outstanding, you honestly could not have convinced me a lifted Jeep could drive like this. I set the cruise for 70mph all the way home and barely had to steer home. The steering has a nice firm feel and it goes exactly where you point it, and nowhere you don’t. The biggest difference for me was when I would see a bunch of broken pavement and pot holes in the road or freeway and I could feel my whole body tense up and I would bring my second hand up to the wheel ready to make corrections. The Jeep would drive straight through It like nothing was there and I felt like it was looking at me like “what are you doing, calm down. I got this”
It took me 9 hours to get home because somehow there is still traffic in L.A. even during a pandemic. This was after driving 7 hours to get there. It drives so nice I was way less fatigued when I got home after 16 hours of driving in a day, then when I drove it down originally.
I drove it to my parents this morning, which has a bunch of curvy backroads Just driving along comfortable and in control at speeds that just don’t seem right in a Jeep.
It’s a real California Jeep now it identifies as a sports car.
It doesn’t come up like wow it does this so great! It just feels like it doesn’t ever do anything wrong. You just drive, and enjoy the trip. I would jump in it and drive it all the way to Moab tomorrow without one thought as to the comfort I would be in.
I cannot wait to get it off road. And yes on the test drive we did deliberately drop a tire of the road twice and it did not care at all. That was nuts!
I’ll post a bunch of pictures so you guys can check it out since everyone keeps messaging me for photos.
I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I really wanted it to be crazy capable, but to someone who didn’t know a lot about Jeeps not stand out too much.
