Opinions on Old Man Emu Ultimate TJ / LJ Wrangler Kit?

For a 2" lift all you need in the rear is an inexpensive track bar relocation bracket which will recenter your rear axle. Some are made for specific lift heights, get one closest to your 2" lift. But with only 2" you really barely need one.
So looking at what I am actually going to run with OME springs 2.5 lift and Savvy body lift 1.25 the actual total is roughly 3.75 . With a Currie rear track bar would I need to order a track bar relocation kit separately for rear ? Sorry for all the questions new to all this . Also I am assuming I will need new bump stops for the new springs . Could I get away with stock control arms in rear and front ? They are brand new I just replaced so I hate to mess with them . Thanks for all the good advice thus far ! 👍

I started with an Antirock, and I didn't care for the excess body roll on the freeway. Eventually it ended up where I was on the tightest hole and still didn't care for it.

Eventually, I removed it and swapped it for a Swayloc dual rate swaybar.
https://offroadonly.com/shop/swayloc/off-road-only-swayloc-for-jeep-wrangler-tj/The price was a bit lower when I bought it.

It acts like an Antirock when disconnected and stiffer than a stock bar when connected. And like the Antirock, there are multiple holes to choose from to fine tune the bar.

Most people will be fine with an Antirock. Myself, I am happy I removed it and went to a Swayloc.

Yep I'm building my list off this thread alongside you and I have a questionmark next to bump stops also.

Is a SYE needed here? Or is this height 2.5" suspension + 1" body lift at the point of "see how it goes first"?

Same as above, this thread is pretty much every question I have had since yesterday. Only questions left, beside SYE and Double Cardan, would be do you recommend all new control arms and extended brake lines? If so, recommendations? Hoping this will help OP too

Also, forgot to ask OP, how are you choosing your OME springs since they come in different variants?

I called the guy at DPG named Derick and he hooked me up , bought today . Springs and bump stops motor mounts and JKS disconnects , I can’t afford the expensive Antirock stuff right now unfortunately.

Savvy body lift (you only want to use solid body lift mounts), Rancho RS5000X shocks, and Currie track bars.

That will set you up nicely for a tummy tuck in the future without having to change anything. With my tummy tuck the JKS rear track bar caused clearance issues. In addition, the OME shocks are much to firm for my liking, whereas the Ranchos ride smooth as butter.

As for the JKS disconnects (or any disconnect for that matter), having owned both disconnects and the Currie Antirock, I would never personally go back to a disconnect again. The Antirock is my weapon of choice, hands down.

I should add that this is not a bad kit by any means. It's just that I've had all these components at some point or another, and having done things over again countless numbers of times, the only components in the kit I would reuse are the springs (assuming I wanted to stay at 2.5" of suspension lift).
Hey I hate to keep bugging you but with the ranchero RS5000x shocks and my lift of 3.75 should I do the 4 inch shocks or the two inch ? They come both ways so was not sure ? Also on the Currie front and rear adjustable track bars do they make them for just a 3.75 lift ? I read 4 to 6 inch somewhere ? Thanks Kurt

All suspension items relate only to suspension lift, not total lift. So you will likely want the RS5000X shocks for 2.5" lift.

Currie trackbars work at any height above 2" if I recall correctly

Sweet, I will give them a call. If you don’t mind my asking what is your budget? I feel we may be close, I’m looking around $2500 or less if I can

Since you want to run 33's, you'll need 2" of bump stop extensions, so you might as well run RS55239/RS55241 combo. Says for 2-2.5" lift, but they run a bit longer than most options. The bump stop extensions will allow you not to bottom out the shocks, will keep your tires from hitting the fender wells, and will give you a bit more droop.

The 2.5" Rancho shocks are likely what you want, as Ranchos tend to run long.

The Currie track bars will work fine for 3.75" of lift (y)

Ok Chris , I have ordered everything except the track bars ( can’t afford the Antirock right now so JKS discontents for now ) so on the rear do I need to relocate the track bar mount ? I just want to make sure I order the right track bars for front and rear and have everything I need ! Thanks again for all the advice ! 😀👍

Go to Ranchos website and look for the Promotions link at the bottom It will give you details for a VISA prepaid card as a rebate, based on how much you spent. I did it last year and got the rebate card a lot faster than I expected. I think it was $50

You’ll likely need the track bar bracket for the rear, yes.
