Anyone running air bumps inside coils on rear?

I know it's not needed but when I do my rear midarm I want to setup air bumps inside my coils. I like my front air bumps they are set at a low pressure and slow things down nicely. Can I see some examples of how any of you have done it?

A thru frame air bump can would prob be the best route since you are still running factory narrow width axles.

65wms but not full widths. I wouldn't have any problem doing it with COs. There are more constraints with the springs still there.

Exactly. While I would have no issues running them inside the springs on the front axle, not sure I would be so quick to replicate that on the rear axle.
 
JKS has an ACOS with air bumps that bolts into the factory location.
 
I found the best example I could on Facebook. This guy did a great job integrating the mount above but looks like he outboarded the springs slightly also which given my jk axles I could do also.

I'm attaching his picture here so people can see example in future. Overall it's looking like it's more work than it's worth.

I could follow the method that those previously described idiots who designed the Gladiator Mohave, and use bypass shocks if I wanted to get that ramp up near bottom.

The limitations I was thinking of is having to center the can in spring so it doesnt touch the spring during articulation, which is currently centered on the frame rail. Centering the can in the rail would pretty much wipe out the hole frame thickness.

The picture i just posted from the LJ facebook page shows a potential solution, basically centering the coil spring on the edge of the frame, slightly outboard from stock.

Actually the gladiator designers did fine and followed suit to Tacoma Pro and went internal bypass shocks. They had demoed putting factory air bumps at one time but they must have ditched that idea along the way. Notice how the gladiator has the room outboard they could actually run air bumps in lieu of their foam bump.

And I think the front is using hydraulic bumps inside the coils.

In the next few years I'll be in the truck market (I'm holding off as long as I can). If they don't mess up the tow rating much on the Mohave I've been considering it. I'd normally go with an old used truck but I want the modern traction control junk for winter towing.

Hope you aren’t planning on towing much if you are considering the Mojave.

My $0.02 is to take the $400 you'll spend on air bumps and buy DSCs for the rear and get your tune dialed on all corners. You shouldn't be jumping on that 44 anyway and I think the DSCs will give overall more improvement.
