8:30 would be better for me. But if everyone wants to start early, I'm ok with that as well. V8 is not any worse than the 4.0 ... Might even be better.
I’ll be at the Kwik Serv at 8:30
Ok so 8:30 it is, see you guys then

I remember doing this trail back in the 80's when I had a Toyota 4x4 P/U always a fun trail.Found this video on youtube that talks about the history of Deer Valley trail. I thought it was interesting so figured I'd share it.
Plans got changed and it turns out my stepdaughter isn't coming down until Sunday. If I play my cards right I'll meet you guys at the Kwik Serv Saturday.
Will do. I'll let you guys know either way on Friday. That would be great, keep us up to date so we know
If everyone is coming up Saturday morning thru Angles Camp a good spot to meet up might be at the Kwik Serv in Arnold they have gas and a small market for snacks, drinks, ice, scotch, etc. Its takes about the same amount of time from the Kwik Serv to Slick Rock as it is to Deer Valley just about an hour +/-
So the big question is what time to meet up 8:00 or 8:30 I will already be up in Arnold so it makes no difference to me, but I don't know how far you all are driving so you guys tell me.

it's about 40 - 45 minutes up to Bear Valley the last stop for gas. Indy not sure how much that V8 drinksbut if you need more gas this would be the place to get it. And then about 20 + minutes to Hermit Valley where the trail starts
Hermit Valley Camp Ground trail head

And it ends up at Hope Valley on Hwy 88

If anyone is campingFriday night Hermit Valley Camp Ground is a dry camp and no services.
If anyone is campingSaturday night there is a large meadow about 3/4 of the thru the trail, also there is Upper and Lower Blue Lake and Twin Lake
Sorry if you know all of this info it's just my anal retentiveness, coming thru or is it through

so is there a chance we might see Bundtinis?I am working on it too. Looking a “little” more likely. Is everyone doing out and back on the trail or driving the road back?
from Blue lakes I'm going home, if we ran it the other way I was going to double back.I am working on it too. Looking a “little” more likely. Is everyone doing out and back on the trail or driving the road back?
