I’ve been wanting to have my repaint my Jeep for a long time. I am just unsure of colors wanted to ask you guys and see what colors you have painted your jeeps to get some ideas for what I like and what looks good.

Not a TJ but I made my CJ Jungle Love Green. It was a weird grey/green before.

both are beautiful I even liked the first color.

Thanks! I liked the first color too. I'm guessing it was a repaint from years ago. I was going to repaint it after all the body work (was pretty shot when I bought it) but I didn't want to have to worry about killing my new paint on the trails. Couple gallons of Monstaliner later haha.

I'm in the process of painting my LJ now. It's going from the original Bright Silver to a grey that is a bit lighter than the Sting Grey found on some JK's and I think JL's. I'm using single stage enamel and when done the only original colour will be on the firewall and in the tub under the carpet. It's a bit of work but I like doing it myself because I can redo anything caused by damage or future modifications I make.

props to you for doing it yourself! Paint is one thing I’ve never wanted to mess with.

Thanks. I used to restore cars and it involved a fair bit of painting. It's been quite a few years (decades) since I've done one though. Each panel will have 4 to 6 coats with wet sanding in between and no doubt some cutting and polishing when I'm done.

Thanks. I'm retired and things like this definitely keep me busy! I painted it grey to match a trailer I'm almost finished building, if they ever are. I think you know all about matching Jeeps and trailers. (y) I can't wait to get the 2 together for a pic. My next job on the trailer is to build the RTT.

They will look good together. You will like the RTT on your trailer.

Nice colors, Has anyone thought about a wrap? Seems like it might be nice to have a tougher coating on something that’s gonna bash through the woods.
