Well if these heaters work and I can work on my TJ over the winter hopefully I'll be driving before April.Wish you could have been here man! Good times.
I’m leaning toward HiLines and 35’s, but I’m open to a 4”. I’ve always thought HiLines look like a TJ in its natural state.
A 1.25” BL is the highest return mod you can do for the price.Lift before tires, I have a 04 Tj went with a 3.25 inch RC with shocks and springs (body lift is never a good idead gives no clearence and can run into problems easy). I am now running 35s with 15x10s and they are great I have aftermarket flares before hand but i dont see any problem with stock flares on either size the lift will help prevent any trimming you'll have to do I use Extreme Terrain the most its very user friendly i suggest checking there.
His first post on here, and he comes to the 103 page of JMT's build thread to let him know about a RC 3.25" lift to run 35's on 15x10's. Classic.A 1.25” BL is the highest return mod you can do for the price.
I already have a combination of 3+1.25 lift in the front and 2.75+1.25 lift in the rear.Lift before tires, I have a 04 Tj went with a 3.25 inch RC with shocks and springs (body lift is never a good idead gives no clearence and can run into problems easy). This is the truth. BL highest return for investment mod you can do. Just keep them < or = to 1.25".A 1.25” BL is the highest return mod you can do for the price.
Fully aware. In one of my posts I explain in a nuanced way why I am inclined to go the HiLine route. That was on purpose. My goals have nothing to do with LCOG thinking. I still may go the 4+1.25 route.I know the 4” lift + 1.25” body lift to run 35s is what everyone and their grandma does but after going that route there’s a reason and it’s that it just works.
I only have 3.5” lift and 1.25” BL, mine does quite well on 35’s.Fully aware. In one of my posts I explain in a nuanced way why I am inclined to go the HiLine route. That was on purpose. My goals have nothing to do with LCOG thinking.
Then I'm only 0.5" away. I could try that. What springs are you running? Any spacers? I've got 3 different size spacers already (0.398", 0.75", and 1.5"). I'm using the 1.5" up front now, so I probably need new springs to get me closer to 3.5"I only have 3.5” lift and 1.25” BL, mine does quite well on 35’s.
Metalcloak, no spacersThen I'm only 0.5" away. I could try that. What springs are you running? Any spacers? I've got 3 different size spacers already (0.398", 0.75", and 1.5"). I'm using the 1.5" up front now, so I probably need new springs to get me closer to 3.5"
OH no you said Metal Cloak......![]()
Look closely, they are thereHonestly might as well burn it to the ground if it is running metalcloak springs or a single other part from that devilish company.
