Jeep LJ Build Pure Jeep Porn (GenRight)

Got some new data: this is a 4" lift equivalent, and on 40" tires the belly hangs down to 20" all the way across (1-3/4" lower than the lowest point of the Savvy skid).

Without reading back through 4 pages, can you put this in context? Is this good or bad? What are we comparing it to (or are we)?

It really depends on what you want out of the build. Also, those numbers only paint part of the picture and I haven't seen numbers for other factors.

I think it is listed for the same on MoneyPitClassifieds. Pretty steep considering you still need an LJ and an entire drivetrain. Pretty crazy money for what you could build with the at least $70k it would take to get it together.
The listing seems to imply that the price does include built axles, wheels, tires, coilovers, etc. It's not just a frame. So I can start to see how it adds up.

if im not mistaken, spending all that money just to have stock uptravel numbers and have 0.5" higher belly clearance than your average 4" short arm on 35s without a TT

To each their own. At the end of the day though it doesnt matter how much $$$ or what you do with it... if you enjoy it and are having fun, then its money well spent IMO.

It looks like GenRight likes to build LCoG with the highline fenders, huh?

Just to clarify, we are comparing a LJ on 4 inch springs to an LJ on coilovers and comparing up travel numbers and belly heights, correct?

The axles and tires alone are close to $24K. As was said, with the parts on here it doesn't really sound like a bad deal. Of course it would need to come with small trailer for me to live in. I'd need it for when the wife says adios!

I just can’t help myself, that is like saying that smoking a pack a day is money well spent...

I mean, you are right, but that is why I said to each their own... in someone's eyes, it is money well spent, and if they are happy with it then that's fine. Who are we to say about others peoples builds if we don't like it? Not everyone likes the same thing and thats ok

I believe so, I used 35s as the comparison,
35s/4" spring: 19.5" stock belly height, 4"+ of uptravel
LJ on coils and 40s: 20" at belly, 4" of uptravel

I think what is to be said is that for the price of one vs the other... you can achieve the same for a lot less money and in a smarter way. Either way, its still a badass rig that I would be happy to drive... and thats all that matters
