Forward progress or the lack thereof

When ya'll hit your diff and stop forward progress, spinning the tires in hopes that some sort of magic is going to happen is a bad idea. We have seen the tires pick up rocks and cycle them through the wheel wells and that is a bad day. You wind up with us doing this so you don't wind up with what happened in the bottom two pics.

If you look at how close a tire is to an outboarded shock, it doesn't take a very big rock to tear up a shock like that.

I've only seen this happen twice. And I only know one person who has had this happen to them!

Neither, both, doesn't matter. If it won't go, spinning the tires will not generally do anything good. You kick out stacked rocks, you pick up rocks that are not stacked, and you dig deeper holes which pins you harder on your stick point.
