Jeepey have some options for LED headlights - Trucklite seem to get good reviews elsewhere in the world. Have others tried these? I assume they are UK legal because they are a complete unit?

Does anyone make LED tail light units? Ironically I see mine are Trucklite branded.

I’ve got for the knockoff versions and I’m blown away by how good they are. They look like the real thing and cost a fraction of the price. I got mine from a website called Original Cafe Racer. Just make sure you get one with a DRL feature. Our UK Jeeps use the DRL as a parking light.

Only legal I think if the reflector is designed for an LED bulb, though?
Had a quick look and you appear to be spot on. Worse though is that the MOT guidelines changed in Jan this year so having an LED bulb in a non LED light will mean a fail. Not something I had looked at before as personally I am not planning to use LED bulbs, but seems even if I wanted to it is not an option.

They’re worth the money. Go with Truck Lites if they are available over there.

Actually those may not be usable as I don’t believe they have DRLs - a legal requirement here is sidelights, and the DRLs on LED conversions can be used as such as mentioned above.

Lights (front white, rear red) which shows your position and size (driving as well as parked, so they aren’t quite the same as parking lights) and their use is legally compulsory in the dark. Headlights weirdly are not compulsory!

Older UK cars have separate lights at the front for this but these days it’s mostly a dimmer bulb inside the headlight unit.

I bought some cheap LED lights of eBay - they work well but failed the mot so you would need to swap them out for the test.

Thanks - I think I’ll shell out for the Trucklite ones (I’ve found them for less on a Land Rover site, and they do in fact have sidelights).
