Howdy guys and gals.
If I've posted this in the wrong spot, I apologize.
Some of you may have read that I just completed a build on my jeep.
From completely stock to a pretty decent 35" tire build. Although, that's not quite true. I knew there was not going to be enough time left in my life to figure it out and do it once, correctly.
I also have a very low tolerance for "junk", which it more than likley would have become if I tried building it. To be clear, I did not do any of this work. After some begging and pleading, @mrblaine agreed to work w me, and although I had a good build on paper, Blaine helped dial it in so everything plays well and compliments each other.
I feel like I could compliment him every day and it might not be enough.
The jeep is amazing, and as my comfort level grows, confidence, skill level, are all contributing to jeep "nirvana".
That's kind of a long story (sorry) to share my experience w Robert Kobal.
I see many guys chatting about Savvy lead times, Savvy don't answer the phone, Savvy don't return my email, etc, etc, etc.
I too went thru all that.
I ended up seeing a little blurb somewhere on this site about someone who interacted w Robert, so I decided to give him a call.
I had a list of parts, and a certain budget on my second large parts purchase. Every part on this second list was Savvy stuff.
I had already priced it all out on the Savvy website, added in a discount code I found on this forum, added shipping, and got a grand total. My credit card failed to share any love, and the sale declined. That was, however, an added bonus.
Before I fixed the issue and completed the order, I ended up reading that blurb here, and decided to give Robert a call.
Man, I gotta tell ya. I won't share exact numbers, but I've made three orders thru Robert, and plan on at least one more, for more Savvy stuff.
Oh, yeah, back to numbers I won't share.
On that first order w RWK, he saved basically the ENTIRE SHIPPING COST. That first order was over 5K, and was 9 boxes that was "hella" expensive on the Savvy Site.
I've given Robert three orders for a damn high C note count, and he's saved me, no idea how, but a huge cost over buying directly from a couple of vendors.
As an added bonus, he and his business partner did the re-gear on my jeep, and that seams to be working flawlessly.
I've read some people talk disparagingly about him here, and talked him down, but I found him to be worth working with, and, that allowed some "free" money that I saved by going w him, that I used elsewhere in the build.
I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Robert, and RWK Haus Supply!
Give him a call, you might find your pleasantly surprised!

I also had a great experience with RWK Haus. So good that I have been more than comfortable sending friends and co-workers there. If / when I decide to regear my current Jeep he will definitely get my business again.

I’ve used him before many times. He always gives me a better price on Savvy stuff than any coupon.

Hey No maybes, how's it going?
Just read your profile. What height is your lift?
Curious since your on 37s

Is the Jeep done? Let’s see it.
Dude.
Truly. I'm a guy who's shit is never done.
There's always something to improve, add on.
I need fender/corner armor.
Already smacked my diff cover enough to stop me. Might need diff armor.
Sliders.
Switch to more reliable lockers.
Upgrade steering?
Upgrade axles.
Jeez, I gotta stop. 🤑
For some reason pics wont attach. Will fix later. Sorry

I got both of my axles from him and have had lockers and shafts replaced previously. He knows his stuff and always has great prices (even though Currie has screwed him over a bit).

I also recommend RWK Haus Supply. When I ordered Savvy control arms, gas tank skid, and under armor, I contacted Robert to get a quote, and got it for $100 cheaper than directly from Savvy even with the 8% off code. He was nice to work with and quick to respond.

He was great to work with when I purchased my Currie Rock-Jock front 44 before the Currie split. Robert was easy to work with and I always recommend RWK Haus Supply.

When I purchased the Jeep last year it was sitting on 6" RE coils with an ACOS spacer up front...I've since dropped it down to the 3.5" Rancho springs which actually netted me right about 4" lift F/R. I also have a 1.25" body lift.

FWIW - I'm in the process of lightening it up (just replaced heavy steel F/R bumpers with Savvy aluminum) and reducing the lift. The plan is to go to 35's as soon as I can afford it.

Good on you for getting Blaine involved...I’ve lived long enough and worked with my hands/tools enough to know there are people in every field that really know what they are doing. They are also nearly impossible to find and connect with.

I work or plan work on my Jeep’s often knowing there is so much I don’t know, especially how suspension really works...and even if i attempted some things I’d still be off base ...Blaine’s posts are a good example...he will point out details, or order of work or parts relationships that only someone with a thorough understanding and deep experience can do. I’ve seen it over and over on here. @jjvw knows a ton as well and understands what happens when tires start going up and down.

I’ll get around some really “deep into it”off road people In my area and their idea of what is important/ functional is so off base.

It reminds me of my industry, construction. Contractors don’t even realize it when their own subs are doing things wrong ...because they don’t know the right way either.

All this leads to say it’s hard to figure out a great set up on the extreme off road side and even harder to find a shop that you can trust to set one up.
