Maybe. It still makes no sense to invest in a locker that has inherent clearance problems in the event that one wants to make use of that space without buying a new locker. At least you can change covers.

Comparing OX cover to that fat ARB/Currie cover isn't making any kind of a case in favor of it. None of those covers would work on mine.

Your best bet is not to buy an OX locker. Go with something that works for yours.

That is one of the differences between them. .. which is the point i was trying to make... that there are differences with the design of each.

Though OX adopted the actuation methods of arb and eaton, the locking mechanisms still differ to an extent.

Anyone remember the DIY diff covers? Those were huge, but I had to have them, so I made them work.....

I lifted up the front so you don't have to bend over to see it....

edit: just noticed you insinuated that I said you have to have an OX to be "proven near indestructible" (really, I missed that??). In FACT I said they "went throwback". If it was unclear by my meaning, Then I (yet again) apologize in front of everyone. My meaning was they USED a proven design.

I've seen pictures of people who mounted the cable shifters on or next to the shifter console but haven't found any pictures to show you.
