The rotobroach has one niche use that it works in fairly well. Whereas the twist drill works in 90% of other situations, and is one of the most efficient tools for it's purpose. Not talking in metaphors here, just tools

You're thinking of annular cutters. Rotobroaches are usually small, my set is 1/4"-3/4". I use them in my hand drill

I’m of course being facetious here but the willingness to spend $160 vs $3k for a product is about the same comparison. There’s always something better. Pick your price point and go fucking wheel. That’s what it’s about.

You aren't the first to point out that this is really all about money. All I know is that for a similar amount of work, you could have had something that didn't hop. And you already want to deal with the shocks, so whatever improvements yours has with roll quickly becomes a moot point and then some. Again, this is mostly about money.

As far as comparing rigs is concerned, here is something that neither of ours are capable of taking on. We both lack the wheelbase, tire size and HP. So yes. NashvilleTJ's rig has no place in a comparison between ours or any others that aren't of similar dimensions.

Yes. I fully agree. If I had more money there would be a midarm on my Jeep right now.
I was picking on you about the Nashville comparison because it was funny and a bit ironic. In all seriousness I know that it’s an apples to oranges comparison. And I know that the hopping difference between yours and my rig is due to geometry. I’m not blind to the physics I just play devils advocate sometimes. When I save more money there will be a midarm going on my Jeep for full disclosure. The geo correction was a good intro to cutting and welding brackets on an axle tube for me and will serve it’s purpose until it doesn’t.

I don’t think I’ve seen a hand drill version. Yes I am thinking annular cutter. We cut holes from 5/8” to 1.25” via annular.

Your playing the devil's advocate on this one is putting you on the side of a whole bunch of people who don't even know what problems they are wanting to address. Let alone recognize them when presented. I don't think that is where you are wanting to place yourself.

There doesn’t have to be teams and I don’t want to be a part of either side at this point. You posting those videos created the teams. I told you I didn’t think it would be helpful. I’ve seen lots of ignorant comments supporting the brackets from people who don’t quite understand. I get that is frustrating to you. But I’ve also seen some comments from you that come off as pretentious, arrogant, and critical of those on a budget. So no, I’m not on either side.
l also don’t think geo correction brackets are bad either! I really enjoy the on road benefits so far. It’s very apparent. Off road has yet to be seen until I get more trail time. I enjoy my geo correction brackets but I still wish I had a midarm. Is that such a bad stance to have?
