A JLR could very well be in the cards for me in 5-6 years when I retire. I've owned this TJ since 2005, so It'll be tough to let it go. I'm just not finding the same enthusiasm to constantly be working on it anymore. That hasn't stopped my latest purchase today though.

The only real issue I'm finding is the climb in and out...My wife (all 5 feet 1 inch of her) complains every time she get in it...and she doesn't like driving it anymore. Says its feels tippy and its all over the road. I gotta fix that. Better tires, an alignment, and the swayloc (delivered today!) should make that complaint go away.

That's the other thing I have to maintain, a 5'3" wife, who on occasion, drives the Jeep. 35's and another 1.50" of lift would make the Jeep a "no go" for her.
Ordered the Swayloc today, so let me know what tricks you encounter on install.

I'll throw my $0.02 in here. I know many people move up to 17" wheels as they increase tire size but I always liked having more sidewall for the wheeling I do up here in the PNW. Having more tire to wrap around a tree root or rock ledge seemed to always work better for me. But I've ran up to 37" tires on a 15" rim and liked them. I do know those who didn't like all the sidewall flex and stuff also.

Now the other rule of thumb I was also taught was that your tire diameter should be at a minimum of twice the rim diameter. So a 17" rim should not be used on less than a 34" tire and so on. I'd read this somewhere when the 20" rims and become a fad.

Rig really is ready for 35’s. Pics of the last days of 33’s! They’ve taken me a lot of places! No regrets. Love this build and tire size. They just look a little small with the Currie 4”.

I went from 33" tires to 35" when I could start driving again after getting wounded. It was funny watching me haul myself into my Jeep when I was still no weight bearing on my right leg.

I'd put my wheelchair in the back and then on crutches to the door. Throw them inside and then use the bar to pull up and swing into the rig. It was stupid but I'd been stuck in a bed for 4 months....
