What did you do to your other vehicle today?

I put a rebuilt complete valve body in my 2010 Ranger over the weekend to address a couple issues. First, at 210k miles on the transmission it is showing some wear and shifts late in some situations and hard from 1-2 when it's cold. Second, the O/D off light begins to flash when the trans comes up to temp. I've done a few things to try to get that light to stay off but none have worked. The new valve body didn't work to keep that light off either, but it's shifting better, so not a waste of time/money. It also cleared the P0741 code it was giving me!

It has the 5r55E that they put in a bunch of different Ford vehicles, so if you're reading this and have fixed that problem holler at me - thanks

. It was cracked, then fell off. I had 2 or 3 NIB sitting around (I've owned 4 or 5 GMT800 over the years) so I had to fix that immediately. One of the biggest flexes a GMT800 owner can have is a present & intact tailgate handle bezel.

Now the tailgate cap/spoiler is another story. Currently trying to decide what to do about that...

It was the 2000 Silverado. Not excited about pulling the fenders but I don't see it getting parked in the garage any time in the short term so I'll need to do something. (not that the garage would stop them anyway)

yeah, he was juuuust starting to smell yesterday afternoon on the way to my buddys house but it wasn't quite strong enough for me to differentiate between a dead rodent or just agricultural scents typical of the area on a 100 degree day. I even told my friend when i got there, not yet knowing what it was, that I thought it might be a mouse. He hopped in and did the honors of pulling the blower out while I was taking a water break after removing all the covers to access it, and was the first to see it. He looked at me and said "well, I've never known you to be wrong."

Finally tracked down the right parts to get my tailgate hung on the '70.

I lost a lot of the hardware to put the old girl back together. The chinese stuff is actually tight and fits well. Time will tell for how long....
@ColoJeep Which of the three firewall holes above the drivers side valve cover do the washer hoses go through? The copper oil pressure tube? Furthest inboard is the throttle cable I'm sure.

What do you think of the rolled angle cut exhaust tips? I can't make up my mind on angled or not. I do like how they follow the curve of the bed?

The last panel to bolt down is the cowl after i get the washer nozzles plumbed and the wiper motor gasket resealed.

I lost that hardware too. I keep needing to buy nut,bolt,and screw kits for every dang thing as i go

Got one of my other vehicles going today.

Cub Cadet mower

New drive belt and deck belt.

Also replaced the chintzy 1156 headlight bulbs with Amazon LEDs.

They work great in the mower!

It's getting a chrome front bumper and some grill rehab soon

Front 2" lift springs gave more like 3.5" from the lighter 5.3l motor. Need to decide on some other spring$$ or maybe just 1-2" blocks in the back.

Personally I am the odd man out , I love the lower trim level trucks white bumper . Maybe twin turbos with a cast iron intercooler would pull that front end down a little .

Yea, I'm kinda that way too. Chrome doesn't belong on a truck, esp. the back bumper, and all that.

I'm right there with you. While I'm not a chrome fan anyway, I think those trucks look great with the white bumper.

Thanks! I believe in 72(the cab I'm using) the bed harness got moved lower.a cable throttle is in it's place so it has a straight shot to the top of the pedal arm. But good to confirm my suspicions on the other two. Edit: i had to go look. Mine is just like yours with the cable under in a 4th hole

As far as the white bumper, it bugs the shit out of me to have a black rear bumper and a white front

. If the front wasn't twisted up I'd probably just paint the rear bumper white. And i might regardless. The black and orange contrast doesn't work for me on this truck so much.

I deleted the big lower side mouldings and I'll keep the upper,tailgate and tail light mouldings. Should look good with the front end brightened up too.

On the fence about whether i should paint the chevy letters on the tailgate. I kinda like it, but these trucks already come with a boatload of brand advertisement
