With about 5 minutes left in my 2 hour drive to work yesterday morning (I only go in once a week) the blower in my DD pickup started vibrating. I turned the speed down and thought well, this timing could be better. I'm up here two days and highs are around 100.
Went to lunch, same. With the speed cranked up it violently shook the whole dash but I could run it at 2 without being too severe and that would keep it just cool enough not to sweat in my office clothes.
A buddy offered to let me use his tools and driveway to change out the blower after work so I picked one up at the Irish parts store and made the 30 minute drive.
I found myself appreciating the TJ for how easy it is to work on as I fought with several fasteners buried right above the tunnel or against the firewall.
The blower itself was fine, but I didn't want to be doing this work again so I put the new one in anyway.
