How to change filter and fluid in a 2006 jeep wrangler 4.0 Automatic Transmission. I'm read and seen on you tube they take line loose and drain while shifting thru gears. Seems to me this would be a bad ideal, I don't know. Thanks for any help.

What do you prefer? I don't have to deal with traffic jams or city driving, so I like my manual transmission. I feel more in control.

I have an automatic transmission and when it is cold or sets for awhile, I start it up and when I take off and it shifts for the first time, it kicks real hard and sometimes does it two or three times when I stop and pull out again. Jeep Wrangler 65th anniversary edition with a v6
