I’ve finally gotten around to throwing the Dana 44 in that I bought about a month ago. I went to inspect the diff before filling it and I found this piece of the inner most clutch disk on passenger side, sitting in the pocket under the pinion, hiding in leftover fluid. Half of that plate is...

Has anyone ever swapped axles from Rubicon to Sport and Sport to Rubicon?

Anyone ever swap axles between a Rubicon and Sport and put the Dana 30/d35s in the rubicon? I have access to a rubicon and the owner doesn't care about lockers and Dana 44. I have a sport and would love to do a direct swap. Anyone have experience doing this type of trade and making both jeeps run...

Rear Dana 44 Vent Question 2004 Rubicon

Hey Crew, I'm giving this 2004 Rubicon some much needed attention to the rear diff and cannot find what vent port this is to replace on the back/top of the differential. I've seen an image of a possible curved piece to attach that pipe to. Yes, the diff is leaking oil from the pinion seal and...

Is this the correct pinion seal for a Dana 44 axle?

So I’m changing the pinion seal and a few other things today.. I noticed something that worries me when opening the seal up. The package says Dana 30 but the set is manual says it’s the right part number for a Dana 44. Also they look a little different so that’s another cause for alarm.
