This is what I got with the transmission.

And this harness. It’s got two of the three (or four?) plugs to the computer. I have C1 (black/black) and C2 (black/orange) and am missing either C3 (black/natural) and C4 (black/green) or just the one I need. IDK at this time which of those two I need or whether I need both. I only have three harnesses in my current manual Jeep with the NSG370. I’ll research more after this post. This harness is from an 05’, which is the same year as mine. I laid it out and identified how it sits in the engine bay and identified a few connectors. Nothing is cut off, which I take to be a good omen.

It looks to me, upon further evaluation of the Connector Pin-Outs, that I need both C3 and C4. C3 has things like ASD Relay Control, Evap urge Solenoid Signal, Fuel Pump Relay Control, and Starter Motor Relay Control. C4 has the Transmission Control Relay Control and Output, Tow/Overhaul Overdrive Off Switch Sense as well as Transmission Temperature Sensor Signal and Speed Sensors. So, I think I need to source C3 and C4 harness. No idea beyond this.

*editing* because everything I just wrote sounds really negative and I don’t mean to be.

I don’t think that harness will work. The long leg goes back to the TC and fuel pump. If it was wired for an auto it would have all of the connectors on that leg and you would also have the black/green PCM4 plug next to the other two.

The fourth PCM plug (I think black/white) is the one for the PDC. You probably won’t have the necessary wiring in your current PDC which means you’ll be either adding a lot of wiring, or trying to source the correct PDC harness.

The flex plate bolts should not be reused. I believe they are torque to yield.

I don’t have my Jeep in front of me so I can’t remember exactly how the dash wiring ties into all of this. If you’re not up for the wiring it would be best to source the correct wiring from somewhere.

That’s exactly what I thought with the long leg. I counted the connectors on the transmission and then the ones on that leg, and there weren’t enough. Well, I’ll have to sell all this stuff and get the right stuff.

I got something really special today. These are just amazing. It's actually hard to believe. Jeff @NashvilleTJ went out of his way to make these. For those of you who know, Jeff took up a new aspect of the hobby this year; sewing. I'm still astonished every time I look at them. I gave him some measurements, and he asked for balance point and other small details. Out of that he designed and sewed these amazing half-door bags. I showed Kaleb and he was like, "What? That's crazy. Those are worth more than your doors!" I showed my other son Joshua and he said, "What? He made those? Those are better than professional. Those are sic!"

I was a little worried when I first tried to put the doors in the bag, but I really don't think if Jeff had the doors in hand he could have gotten a better fit. They're so beautiful and so perfect. I'm amazed at what a lot of you guys can do, the skills you develop in keeping with our diverse hobby. Tribute to Jeff. I hope it brought you as much joy to make them as it brings me to employ them. Cheers 🍻 !

Those look great. Jeff better be careful or he will be in the sewing business full time soon.

This worksmanship is ridiculously good. I wish these aftermarket suppliers put this care into the crap we buy.

NGL, when you said halfdoor bag I imagined storage for the door while it is installed. I am a little confused on why you need these doors to be portable lol

I will carry these doors wherever I wheel in good weather. I can’t wait to take them to Moab, the Rubicon, Fordyce, et. Al., They also allow me to store them during the cold, snowy winter months without worry. They are truly special. A perfect fit.

I’m taking the plunge. I ordered an entire engine and body harness from a 2005 42rle today. This was a major stepping stone toward the swap. It was kind of expensive, but I doubt these will be very common ten years from now. If I’m going to get the Jeep the way I want it, there’s no reason not to buy it.

Also, I received the Savvy MUA auto transmission mount from Gerald. I gave it an extra weld and started painting it up. It will be several months before I need it, but at least it will be ready to go. Welds still suck. I‘d like to figure this out. It’s obvious which welds are mine.

You can't go wrong .. you have a 42RLE auto to use as a real time reference/guide!

The other 42rle is my only hope. 🤣

I was whining to Blaine the other day about my fears. He was like, “Don’t you have an example in the driveway?” I looked over the example today. It gave me some peace of mind.

I’m also thinking that if this harness has all the connectors, I can go straight to Blaine’s 3/4” amber’s up front, and the new AL billets in the rear. It will be nice to clean things up. Lots to do.

Those lights are RIDICULOUSLY bright. I saw a video of one, and the amount of light coming out that thing is just silly. Don't think, just get yourself one.

I must be doing something wrong, since mine are “just ok”. I hope it’s a flasher issue.

This is a friend testing a pre-production sample before @mrblaine decided to make them fully plug and play. Not sure what you are doing in your install, but this is a really very bright light for it's size. I think @rasband put a set in his Jeep, he can confirm how bright they are. The best part is with what's on the BMB website, you don't have to cut anything on the factory wiring side, they just plug right in.

Yeah mine don’t get as bright as in your pic.

I just did some playing around, and they get brighter if I plug in the small light bulbs for the side markers. I’m using the GCD flasher, going to try the Novita LM470

I’m aware. The plug and play feature is very nice.

I do wish the wiring was a bit longer so I could hide the big plug on the inside of the fender.

Just okay for anything I deal with is never acceptable. If these were not the brightest marker lights I'd ever seen and I had more samples here and have installed more than anyone I know, then I would not sell them, period.

Did you cut the plugs off and then wire them back on? Or were they still intact when you installed the markers?

It's difficult for me to quantify the brightness, as I haven't tried any other marker lights. They're brighter than the tinted stock-type turn signals I had, but not as bright as others' pics make them out to be.

Nope, just removed the stock turn signals and plugged in the new ones.

^^ I mentioned this in my earlier reply. To me it seems counterintuitive that adding resistance (side markers), increases the power (brightness). Could this be flasher related?

Here's the deal. I don't believe you fully understand how serious this really is. When I was hunting for the side lights on the tail lights, this light was rejected because it was simply too bright and not in balance with the tail light panel. We decided to turn them into their own product because I've never seen, used, or installed anything that was brighter. So, if I find that not to be true, I'll scrap the whole lot right into the trash can and abandon them as a product.

The second giant fucking problem is why don't I know about this before you go shitting it all up on the forum?

I have no idea what is going on. If you find any way to fault the product whatsoever, send me a note and I'll send out a full refund and then the rest of them are going in the trash, all 500 of them.

Anyone with no extra chromosomes that reads my replies, will see I was clearly talking about my setup specifically. Not shitting, but troubleshooting.

I’ve seen your attention to detail and if I thought it was the product’s fault, I’d of messaged you already.

I’ll shoot you a video of what I’m seeing.

I’ll shoot you a video of what I’m seeing.

If you can, please show a video in day time and night time. Would be good to see what you are seeing because I have a hard time understand how these lights aren't bright enough.

I'll refrain my comments on the unnecessary bit in your earlier reply. You already know which bit it is.
