I also like the new serrated bead edge they are using. I don’t know how well it works but I like they are thinking about things. If they work and tire tech improvements keeps from having to use beadlocks for lighter duty, that’s awesome.

Yes, the Method 305s on my Tacoma have the serrated bead edge, and it's quite nice. Of course it always collects water when it rains, haha!

Yeah I like the 301’s and 305’s. I’m having a tough time finding some in 15” with a machine face that I like.

Trail ready looks similar and you can get them however you want them.

They are but (most) beadlocks are. The DYI ones are if you count the hours of your time to make them....

I think I have the cheapest beadlocks you can buy.

I would prefer some WE’s or TR’s. But $2000+ wasn’t in the cards at the time.

Ha ha no mystery, Chris is just there through everyone’s build and has been a welcome cornerstone when I have questions or need advice so since we were discussing his wheel choice I figured I’d derail his thread for his jeep he doesn’t yet have and ask him his personal opinion.

Yep, that's the plan, paint it to match the body

If you're replacing the fenders and engine would you paint it the same color or use that opportunity to do a color change?

I'm not replacing the engine anytime soon

I think I'll keep it khaki. Last thing I need is a full respray. I'm sure that would turn this into an even bigger project than the last one

I like the khaki color personally. But flame red owns.

Red is my favorite for sure. But I do like khaki as well.

The only color I can't stand is Electric Lime (green) and black (only because I know how hard it is to keep dirty).

I wasn't sure how crazy you were going right off the bat.

When in Moab last year I saw my first intense blue pearl. I actually quite liked that color.

Funny! My wife wanted red. I honestly would have been khaki for number one!!
