Well, I'm going to try to not go too crazy since it's already got a lot done. I think I'm going to prioritize the RubiCrawler and the GenRight fenders to start with. Oh, and the hydro-assist as well.

All of my sports cars were always red, that may be why I like it so much.

I've owned 5 black vehicles I believe, and I just can't deal with them anymore in life. They show everything. Rock chips, swirls, hazing, etc. No matter how hard you try to make them look good, the moment you go for a drive, they look bad again
about every 10 years I forget how bad it is to own a black car then I get one to remind me.....

I’ve been tempted more times than I care to admit to be quite honest haha. When the weather warms up I get the fever bad. Haven’t found that perfect one for me yet so gonna keep pouring money into the mortgage. Married life is goin good, and we are both cootie free so that’s a plus too haha. Thanks for asking!
If kids come into the picture it is going to be pushed even further out for a TJ. Good for you to bury the mortgage early, best thing you can do. I am glad you both are doing OK (covid wise) working in a healthcare facility.

Yea once the mortgage is gone I’ll look for the next long term ride. No clue what it’ll be yet. A desert tan ZR2 would be nice, but I want to see that color in person. Tj would be nice to have again, but I just don’t think thats the right vehicle for us right now. I love having a truck. Can get a tj later down the road again

Back to the wheel discussion.
You've got me rethinking my future plans for wheels. I was all set to just buy some 17" beadlock rims and go with it. But you making the observation that most 17" tires are load range E has got me thinking. Now in my favor my TJ is a PIG. It's around 5K pounds last time I weighed it.

I had this same angst, but got over it. I came across a set of 17" Walker Evans beadlocks and jumped on it. I was worried about the whole "C" and "E" rated tire thing. The only 35" tire I could find in a 17" "C" rating was the MT/R. However, I know they don't do as well in snow and don't have sipping.

I picked up a set of MT MTZ P3s, in a "D" rating, and have been wheeling with them for the last year. I've noticed no ill effects for doing so, and don't have to worry about larger brakes. The only down side is, as you've stated, the extra weight. The beadlocks and slightly heavier tires added 18 lbs per wheel.

My tires and wheel combo right now is 140lbs so I'm really not worried about the weight. I just want to make sure whatever rim size I move to has the better selection of tires.

Now I feel better. I went from 80 lbs to 100 lbs!
