You want hear something funny?

So, I have looked at this Jeep. I spoke the owners cause a friend of mine is wanting a TJR! He has had that TJ for damn near 5 months and had it in the shop getting it ready to sell. I do t know what he had fixed but the dealer is pretty stand up IMHO and it is a father/son/wife outfit.

it is a super clean Jeep! You did good and wish you would have hit me up, Albany is my neck of the woods!!!!

The guys I bought it from (father and son dealer) are super nice. Nicest car dealers I've ever met in my life actually. That's because it's just a small family lot though.

They had it in the shop having the RMS and valve cover gasket replaced, as it had a leak. Can't argue with that, right?

They told me that they sell a ton of TJs, as they have found they move very well. They also knew quite a bit about them, so clearly they weren't just some dealership that got one in. He said they bought this one at an auction in Nevada.

I looked it over with a fine tooth comb, and it really is clean. They put a brand new soft top on it, soft uppers, and it appears to be very well kept.

Yep! I almost bought a truck from them but I really didn’t NEED another diesel, but they are in tune with what sells and go after more specifically targeted vehicles. They do sell a lot of TJ’s, they had a LJ I wanted before I bought mine but it wasn’t a Rubi, but 20k miles and SUPER clean.

that’s good, they are very honest about their vehicles and yes, no pressure.

I think you scored my man. 👍😉

First order of business is adding new headlights. The stock ones are worn, faded, and terrible.

I got these today in the mail from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TMYSV6P/?tag=wranglerorg-20

They are JL replica LED headlights. I've always liked the look of the JL LED headlights, but since they are 8", they won't fit in TJs.

I opened these things up, and they look pretty high quality. I'll have to see how the light output is, but for $135, I'm not complaining (yet).

Yep. I could tell from talking to them that they know what they're selling. He told me that too, that they go after mostly speciality or niche vehicles. Either way, I've never had a better dealership experience in my life, which is saying a lot (since I've had terrible dealer experiences in the past).

I feel good about this purchase!

Dig the lights! Curious to see what you think of them. I went with a cheaper LED but man, they rock!

Yeah, I'm going to install them tomorrow so I'll post photos. They don't look too crazy, which is good, because I hate the ones that look like they belong on a Honda or something.

Bruh your build thread is 16 pages long and you don’t even have the Jeep yet 🤣 You may need to start over lol.

What are the chances that color is what I chose for my next mini 🤔

I’d have expected JW speakers

I’d have expected JW speakers

Of anything it would have Vision X Vortex lights like my last TJ (far better than the JW Speakers). But at $639 a set, I want to give these ones a try first just to see.

I see first post on April 26th a silver TJ. Did you buy that one? Or are you buying the one that has had a lot done to it tomorrow (Friday)?

I bought the silver one. If you read the entire first post, I updated it to explain my decision (y)

I have a Nth on my Unlimited, it is a neat piece but buy the Savvy (I have a Savvy too and it is going on the TJ) and live with the BL. Everything about the Savvy is better imho.

Good advice. If I go with the Savvy, I'll need the body lift. At that point I have to consider if I want to run 285s or stick with 265s.

I don't want to go too extreme, as I simply don't need extreme. The thought had crossed my mind about 2" OME springs, 1.25" Savvy body lift, Savvy tuck, and 265s, but I'm not sure if the 265s will look weird at 3.25" of lift.

I read it back on April 26th, didn't know it was updated. When did you buy the silver Jeep?

I bought it this Tuesday. Really enjoying it so far, especially in a manual transmission.

Also, the half doors, I'm in love with them
