Anyone ever use mega short NP231 conversion?

I have a 06 TJ. I believe my speedo is electronic?
The speedometer are electronic yes there is an electrical wire connection from the transfer case to the instrument cluster. The sensor at the transfer case reads the revolution from a small plastic speedo gear.

The megashort and supper short SYE do not use that little plastic gear. The sensor reads the revolution right from the output shaft that is why you cannot simply calibrate them the normal way via changing the speedo gear.

All non-Rubicon TJ's have a speedo gear in the output shaft of the transfer case. I have a 2006 Wrangler X it had a speedo gear and so did my first SYE I put on it. The Megashort one I have now does not.
On tj’s you need to cut and splice the wires. Says so in the instructions.

Yes they use a hall effect pickup for speed signal, but you only need yo calibrate it if your gearing is outside of the curve. If you are running a very steep gear for your tire size the speedo will show faster. If your tire and gear size match then the speedo will be accurate.

We have installed them on many tj’s including our shop rig. The shorter the sye the longer the driveshaft. This means you ujoint angles are not as steep allowing for greater articulation without binding and less vibrations at highway speeds. It is a good product. The only draw backs are you need to cut and splice the 3 wire connection, not a big deal, but do it right or you will get erratic speedo readings. The instructions are very clear on this step. The other draw back is if you run too steep of a gear you will need to add a calibration device inline to modify the signal reaching the speedo, it changes the pickup from a gear to a hall effect. Typically most rigs do not have the correct gear swapped into their tcase when they do a gear swap or tire size change anyway so the speedo is off in reading. The calibration device can be a challenge to find but a few minutes on google will net you one and they typically run about $100. Weighing pro’s and cons the mega short is still a good upgrade even if you choose to spend a few extra for a correct speedo

Having as long of a rear driveshaft as possible is always a good thing. Especially if you are going to tackle mods like a tummy tuck and build in long travel rear shocks. A few of the "advanced" mods are limited by how much angle the drive shaft allows before binding.
Isn’t that why you buy an LJ?

Would any of you know which speedo calibrator would be the best fit in this situation?
I have the rugged ridge mega short slip on my tj and I'm 20ks out 😅🤣
