Anyone have experience with aluminum mini-boat side rockers? Thinking about buying a pair next time they go on sale and then cutting off the useless step and fabricating a steel cap on the outside corner, similar to how Savvy does their slider, but a lot more work on my part. I like projects and have pretty much given up on Savvy producing any for an LJ in the future. I can work with steel and fabricate the "cap", just don't have the ability to bend up the aluminum. The primary downside, other than my time, is the cost. Thoughts?
