I want to say their are nylon bushings in the movable part, so maybe that’s it?
Do you think a braided ground strap would be a good solution to this?
That’s what I am thinking at this point. I would have to remove some of the bedliner in the tub as the previous owner bedlined the whole thing.

It looks like in the bottom pic, the metal ring is facing up against the hex nut? It should contact the mount.

Yes, something like that. I can't stress enough how much more demanding an RF ground is to having an adequate surface area when compared to a simple DC ground which does not require surface area.
On my tractors, the mirrors aren't grounded since they are mounted in rubber. I just took black wire and crimped rings on each ends. Being OCD, I took off the colored connectors and used a little heat shrink so the ground wire is all black.
I'm thinking go from the back side of your antenna mount under the hinge to one of the exogate to body mounts.
Yeah, I want to make sure I get a good RF ground as well. So I could just run this braided line from one of the antenna mount bolts to the tub somewhere near the tailgate?
That’s what I was thinking. I would just have to make sure to remove the powder coating since the hinges are mounted to the Savvy tub armor, which is also powder coated on both sides.

Mine multimeter has a beep function. It will give a beep if there's no resistance.

Yes, scrape enough paint or powder coating off from the ground strap's mounting points so the ring connectors are resting on bare metal. The far end of the strap's connector ring should be connected to the tub or chassis.

I’ll take a better picture for you just so we can rule this out. Don’t want Occam’s Razor to strike again.
Something like that but as short as possible. I will speculate that if you just have a short ground strap to wrap around that nylon bushed hinge that you’ll be ok.
This ^^^^^ If you end up using a braid, keep it short - and wide.
