Really impressive to keep that thing together for 6 1/2 hours! Can you imagine the beating the driver and passenger take?

Only 1 4600 rig has finished so far. They have extended the cutoff time to 7pm.

Erik Miller currently sits 6th but has not crossed the finish line and is still out racing.

The new cutoff time should be approaching soon. Its getting very interesting out there.

With the front only portals, that has to make for some pretty interesting gear math to get matching wheel speeds.
If the portals are 1.45 quick math says 3.5 in the front diff and 5.13 in the rear.

Every team has to hit back door today. Having to go up backdoor. Teams are allowed to choose when they do it. But it has to be done before they finish today.

LiteBrite flopped it on Backdoor and righted it soon after. Seems everyone is winching it.

I was dying laughing at this! I assumed he couldn’t keep it together in the desert but, he flopped before he got there 😂. Must have thought he could one shot it because he was in a Bomber fab car.
Can you imagine the conversation the co drivers behind them were having while she sat on the rocks doing nothing!

At least he’s doing it

Randy Slawson in a Bomber Fab car just crossed the finish line. Unoffically taking first place. His third King of the Hammers win. The second year in a row that a Solid axle car takes first place.

JP Gomez in his independent front suspension UFO car crossed the line physically second. Unofficially placing second.
