FRP tuning for 97-06 TJs

Quick update to this as it has been a while.

We have moved facilities and are now in Tomball, TX. The Tyler facility was closed as we consolidated our parts house to the Tomball location.
We have also leased a Superflow chassis dyno cell (off-site for now)
We added bench flash tuning approximately 2 years ago for bolt-on applications.
We are looking into the possibility of adding a Titan-stroker specific tuning package as well, to reduce the entry cost of tuning.
Approximately 4 months ago, we slashed pricing for JTEC tuning by approx 30% across the board. This was done not to bolster business, but rather as a result of streamlining systems and processes in-house. With the cost of...literally everything going up, the feedback about pricing was heard, and we responded in kind.

I do not check the forums as much as I would like, best way to reach us is :
[email protected] for sales inquiries
[email protected] for tuning inquiries/questions
936 230 3054 for sales

Contrary to past commentary about my alleged being "impossible to reach", for the last 3 years we have had full-time sales staff, and typically emails are responded to within 1 business day. We continue to set the bar for the quality of calibration and the service provided.

Very cool, I may have to swing down and see the new shop the next time I'm in Tomball (I'm there 1-2x a year).

You guys are still supporting JK Hemi swaps, right?

We are right off of Main St, just across the tracks from Old Town Tomball if you're familiar.
Yes, we do a ton of JK Swap tuning, working on one with one of our camshafts here this morning.

Sure do - we usually hit up Market Street for lunch most days I'm in town...

And good to know. I'm almost done with my swap (just waiting on my gas tank skid to get back from powder coat so I can install the fuel system) and will be breaking it in over the next few weeks. I went with JSS for swap parts and ECM. It's reliable, but I suspect I'll want some chop at some point, so it will likely come down next winter for a rework (and a few other things so it's not just wasted effort).

Congrats on the expansion, Ryan. Great to hear your business is continuing to do well. Well deserved.

Your tune continues to make my rig run like a top.

Are you still flying?

I went to running FRP full time approx 3 years ago. It was during that time that I saw we were missing the mark.
Missed sales opportunities, email turnaround time was not acceptable, and even our shipping times got out of hand. Someone even called me "George Jones with a Laptop". The business grew faster than the systems, processes, and staff were capable of at the time.
I fired my entire staff, hired a full time sales person , Isiah, and 2 new warehouse people. We then moved the warehouse to Tomball to bring the operation under one roof. We took a uninsulated corrugated steel building , without air conditioning, and built it out/made it ours.
I had to look inward too. Around that same time, I took my inbox, and all emails since 2021- approximately 16000 emails, and went through them one by one in between tune revisions to try to right the ship. Some people- not on purpose- got lost in the mix of email traffic as we were finishing the tuning process, etc. Some emails weren't responded to, etc.
Approx half of them were promos/spam, but everyone got an answer. I now use an "Inbox Zero" strategy for email management.
About a year ago we adopted an appointment based scheduling system for tuning, and while it's taken some time to work all of the kinks out, it's been successful and sets us apart from Brand X.
We've made countless little tweaks and changes with time in the name of improving service while not sacrificing quality.

I still hold my ratings but due to the rapid growth of the business combined with getting married and having 2 kids in 2 years, I haven't flown in about a year. I have some specific business goals this summer, and once those are accomplished I'll get back to being current for the sake of being able to stay sharp, and enjoy it with my family.

Todd and Liz refer pretty much any JSS Custom tuning inquiry to me. I know them well, and have handled the trans tuning on some of their personal rigs.

Hi Ryan,

You did a tune for my rubicon a couple years ago. Since I swapped to 5.13 gears (with the regretable 4 speed auto tranny) and 33" tires (I now have a speedohealer in it to fix the speedometer reading). Does this necessitate a tweak to the tuning, primarily for the shift points?

Probably not required. Email me [email protected] with your order # , depending on if this was a canned or custom tune there have been some updates over time.
