Homemade Bump Stop Idea?

Here’s what I made.

I had a 4 pair of 2 inch bump stop extensions, wanted 1 inch bump stop extensions because they were too long so I just sawed them in half, then I had 2’ 4 pairs of 1 inch bump stops that went good for my rs5000’s fully compressed. They were some sort of hardened rubber/plastic material

I can see it now.

For sale jeep TJ rust free but has slight termite damage.

Try some small casters with urethane wheels and use the wheels ..that's what I used for my work trailer tail gate bumpers .

I know they're already made, but you might want to flip the grain direction of the stops. Make the grain go horizontal vs vertical. I'd think you stand a better chance of them splitting if they are vertical.

I agree and started one that direction. It was going to take substantially more time given my tools. If you were here you’d understand. As always, you have a good eye for detail.

That’s one heck of a body lift. I wonder what he’s got planned for a tummy tuck. Maybe a strong zipper?
