Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

It just happened!

...like many outfits, they seem to be turning from TJs to JKs and JLs...

They need to make money if they are going to be around in the future. The problem comes when demand for TJ products falls so low they just stop making them - its why I can buy almost nothing for a TJ in the UK. This why it is good that the likes of @Irun are serial TJ builders, 😂

I have their frame tie-in brackets. They fit perfectly and there are a bunch of little details that make them so much better than the other 2 sets of tie-in brackets I bought and ultimately discarded...
Such as?

I get it. Just lamenting. But, even though they are apparently no longer making the tie-in brackets, when I called them, they were willing to dig out the CAD file and build a set for me(y)
3 frame holes, not 2
The drill holes line up with the frame holes and bumper bolts perfectly
They are square so they fit well (the other 2 I tried both had less than a 90 degree corner angle bend (presumably from the heat of welding in the brace?)
The corner brace design is strong but still leaves room to tighten bolts
Thicker steel than some
Hardware included: Backing plates, NOT through bolts, which will crush your frame
Here they are (I modified one side to work with a tow hook):

Front bumper is on. I had two sets of aluminum bumper corner guards, so a set of those went on. It took a while to get them to fit correctly, and install the time-serts on the rear bottom corners. Still need to wire the winch and spool the winch line. Also, I have the bumper grill guard, but am unsure if I'll install it.

Unboxed the NV rear bumper and am liking what I see. Great communication , awesome packing, and a top quality product. They even tossed in a hat without being asked. My favorite feature is wrapping the frame. Least favorite is the etched logo.

Are you going to paint it or pc it? If painting it just use some body filler and get rid of the logo

I painted it already, because it needs to be dry for installation this weekend. Welding it was an option, but time didn't allow for that. The logo is there and I'll just deal with it for now.

My guess is you'd really need to be looking for it with the spare tire installed.

Maybe you need a rock light behind the logo so we all know what you got.

Super happy with the NV bumper. The quality is outstanding and the reinforcement brackets fit like a glove. I'll do a write-up on the install soon. As @Alex01 said, it opens up the corners for damage, but corners will take care of that!

Sidebar: what do you use for products and tools to clean/detail undercarriage and under hood components. Also same question for interior. I use ammo NYC for interior and general washing exterior but the underside is something I need help with. I’m not scared to use a toothbrush or qtips, or pull plastics etc for interior detailing. I’m interested in all methods, ie: degreasing, corrosion removal, corrosion prevention, etc.

I'll post up some details, when I get a little more time! (y)

Also do you prefer to detail underneath the jeep while playing Beethovens Piano Sonata No. 14 before or after you dismember the bodies?🤔

While I do appreciate classical music, it's usually tunes of this genre:

Don't judge me for the Yacht Rock radio! 😁

As if the image with classical couldn’t get creepier, this is definitely worse 🤣🤣 makes me think of American Psycho when Christian Bale is going on about Huey Lewis before murdering Jared Leto 😂😂😂

I’m guilty of the occasional yacht rock 😂

I had a CamelCamel price watch set on the MOR/RYDE kit and it dropped to $326.99, so I ordered one. That will go on when I finally get corner armor. It's likely the price will come down more between now and Black Friday, but this price is better than I've seen in a while.

Do you have a link to the one you purchased? This has been on my list for awhile now.
