It just happened!

Just to add to Tom's post.

Good catch. I learned yet another thing from this great forum. Thank you both!

Try to help when & where I can. Not the expert but I do know a little. Hope to get out to the east coast at some point so you can show me around. Be interesting to see things out there compared to when I was stationed at APG in the 80's. Your LJ should be on tons & 40's by the time I get out there.

Having a spare grill made it easier, so I spent some time mocking up the steering and transmission coolers. There was absolutely no way I was going to come up with anything visually appealing with the B&M cooler. It also made it crystal clear why Blaine uses the Setrab cooler for the transmission. Improved Racing had the best price I've seen in a while, $319, so I broke down and ordered one. Placed the order 1/29 and it showed up at my door on 2/1.

I've ordered from Improved before, so I added the M22 to 6AN adapters and 90° pushlock fittings.

Blaine hooked me up with custom fittings which made installing that cooler much easier. On the passenger side there is one spot where it is difficult to run a line from the lower fitting on the cooler into the engine compartment. Blaine makes a fitting that snakes beautifully around it.

I have one of those as well. Highly suggest

The two tabs on the cooler go on the other side under the bars, not behind. I may have fallen off the design truck at night, but it wasn't last night.

I just made another batch of them. I'm starting to despise stainless. 20 tube nuts, 20 sleeves, 20 end fittings, 400 dollars delivered and that doesn't include the tube. Put another way, those fittings have 20 bucks in parts before I add tube, solder, and time.

In my defense, I'm an idiot and not afraid to admit it!

For the record, I always assemble them correctly before I ship them. That is also done so we know that the nuts fit the PEM studs since my help has managed to ship them with fine thread versions. Nothing is dumber than sending out a 3 dollar envelope with one fucking 10-24 nyloc nut in it. So now I assemble them and absolutely know the nuts fit.

I've started doing that at the hardware store when I go for bits and bobs too. SO flippin annoying to get home after grabbing four nuts and bolts that are supposed to thread together and find out that some hardware dummy doesn't realize the difference between a fine thread and a coarse thread and dumped a couple returns into the wrong bin. I always seem to grab them too....Can't pick lottery tickets, but I can find the wrong hardware 100% of the time without even trying.

Around here it is the customers that do it. They'll pick up a handful of anything and put it back any place but where they got it from.

Since Savvy corners weren't available, Genright will have to do. I didn't order the interior reinforcement bars because Genright's are steel, and angled. Unless there's a reason not to, I'll order 6061 aluminum flat bar. The measurements I'm going with are .375" x 1.75" x 44".

This means the area between the vertical blue tape is where the reinforcement bar will sit. I'm also going to have to order Phillips head stainless steel bolts and serrated flange nuts. Genright ships Allen head bolts and lock nuts.

On the plus side, the Genright corners look like they will be a near perfect fit, at 15.25" up front, with the Savvy sliders.

Did the driver side mockup of the Genright corners. All I can say is they took a lot more work to get everything squared up than the two previous Savvy corners I've installed. Also, the gas filler holes aren't even close and the tail light holes are about 1/2 a hole off. On the plus side, the match to the Savvy rockers wasn't off by much at all.
