Do they still make magnetic stick on "armor" just for pin stripes and the like?
Pardon any ignorance on my part but I have a question about the body armour. Is it just bolted right to the body or is there some type of gasket/rubber material that gets sandwiched in between?
I only ask this because our logging roads here are wet for 60-70% of the year and the water that flies off the wheels contains a very fine particulate that gets into even the tiniest crevice. The water then drains away and you're left with a very slow drying (or constantly damp) gray muck that is abrasive and very hard to rinse out.
You saw what I did looking at the front tires, right? I couldn't come up with anything central in the under carriage if that's what you are looking for.
Umm how is the antenna working???
I have no virtue...... .Apparently, patience is not a virtue of yours!I did a quick test today, inside the garage. With the stock antenna I could pick up 3 FM stations. One clear , and two with static. With the "hidden antenna", I could only get one, which was clear. Tomorrow, I pull the Jeep out of the garage and see if it improves.
The Jeep has an Alpine iLX-W650 double DIN receiver. I already have a rear camera and just ordered a front camera to install. Does anyone have suggestions on where to place the front camera? The idea would be to keep an eye on front obstacles. Here's the camera I purchased, which can be mounted in one of two ways.

I don't think putting it on or into the front bumper would be a good idea.

So a camera looking obliquely to passenger from the driver side could be helpful.![]()
I'll have to look again!![]()

I'm not really for front camera for wheeling advantage. In theory it sounds like a good idea, but I'll never get one because of what ^^^ said. I've heard others say the same thing. I would like to see the passenger tire at times, but meh...
Next week is my annual trip to Rausch Creek with my 1st Generation Bronco buddies. I had previously planned on taking the TJ. However, I'm now committed to taking the LJ. Since owning it, I've never wheeled it hard. That's going to change next week, where my plan is to push it. A few favorites for this are Crawl Daddy, Outer Limits, and trail F.
Getting ready, I needed to rewire my front locker. I finished that task today.
