You definitely were an early adopter! Thanks for the nice words
.
The other day I was looking for something in my workshop storage room and I came across the original Exogate prototype, which I built in January 2011. This photo shows the original frame, the original hinges and the original roll bar tie-in bracket, all of which were made in my home workshop. Above the prototype hinges are a pair of the first production hinges and above the frame is a pair of preproduction v2 "wide-swing" hinges MORryde sent me to verify before they went into production.

My current Exogate is a hybrid of v1, v2 and prototype parts. I've got a v1 main frame and v2 wide swing hinges; the hinges are supported by v1 spacer blocks and a v2 tub reinforcement plate. The Rotopax carrier is a production unit and the CB antenna mount is a homemade prototype. Also visible in this photo is a spare tire stud for the jerry can/ammo can carrier, this is the latest version from MORryde which actually isn't really compatible with the TJ spare carrier - they sent it to me a month of so ago so I could advise them on how to change it to be compatible.

One more prototype accessory can just be seen in this next photo, between the tire and the tailgate one of the receivers for the Exogate Cargo System prototype is visible (there are two receivers, the second one isn't visible in this photo). I posted about that prototype in another thread.

I am continuing to design and develop accessories for the Exogate although I don't know if any of them will ever see production.
