Won't matter. I round filed the CB 3 years ago. I'll break out my dinosaur hand held CB just for you. We really need to get you into the 21st century buddy. You're a truck driver, is CB still the "Go to"?
Over the Road guys still use CB’s

Team, I won’t be able to make, will be first weekend back from vacation. We run GMRS in our Jeeps, I just ordered one for the LJ a couple of days ago. I prefer the fixed ones inside the Jeep. I just need to see if both interior open fuse slots are available (which I assume they are, no interior mods done) and test them to see when they have power. Will be great if I can hook up power without going through the firewall.
If the radio can push more than 25 watts you'll want to run a dedicated line to the battery and fuse it.
Thank you for the info. I wouldn’t have thought about that. It is 15 watts so should be okay.

No programing needed for what you want to use it for, plus "C" port for charging, like your cell phones. If we say we are on channel 16, you go to channel 16, easy peasy.

Chirp is a free software. I use my phone to program radios using the Odmaster app and a tdradio wireless interface.

Wish this was posted a couple of days ago, I would have taken Sourgrass today. Looks like a cool trail from what I could tell. Don‘t think I have time between now and when we leave.
