California NorCal Jeep adventures!

In other news, this weekend's coast trip netted a jeep milestone.

Sorry for the poor quality photo. Had to capture it on the fly with my wife's help.

I agree Fordyce is more difficult then the Rubicon and I haven‘t done the entire trail. Did Rubicon three times (25 plus years ago).

If you’re serious about wanting to do the entire Fordyce Creek Trail, I always suggest attending the California Association of 4wd‘s event called Sierra Trek. PG&E reduces the outflows specifically for this event. You’ll have a better idea if you want to tackle it with a small group at a later time.

Signal Peak/Fordyce is not going to work out for me until Cisco Grove campground opens up, so the search continues for a group run.

Put in an email to get trail conditions. Meet up will likely be near Chico to be determined. Head up Skyway to Philbrook Res. then hit the trails. Hoping to take my grandson wheeling for the first time. Who'd like to join in? @Thunderhead and I ran this trail a few years ago. Hopefully, we can find a better way out of the south entrance, lol!

I’m probably a shoe in for this as long as my drivers don’t poop out on me.

Jim I still have PTSD from our run up there lol

I know dude! That was nuts! Stupid tree killers blocked all the outages. At least we now know to follow the power line trails to get out, lol!

So @bobthetj03 , the high lakes on the 26th?

The tentative plan is to meet up at the Costco parking lot in Chico 9am. We'll head up to Philbrook Res. Then wing it from there.

That’s a real congestion area
There is the 7/11 on 32 and Forest road

1111 Forest Street, Chico, CA 95926

I use to live at an apartment off Springfield. Been to that 7/11 tons of times.

Sierra nevada at 12 for a beer run would be a good trip as well 😉
