I have from Gardenerville to the Hot Springs and then back via Leviathan Mine Road. The hot tub is great if it’s not packed full of people, I was told it’s illegal to drive through the Carson River and there’s lots of YouTube videos of rigs being swamped but the road goes through it so we did it.

I have a few pictures from that trip, the harder stuff was in a wash near Gardenerville.
Count me in. When and where are we meeting on Saturday? We are in for camping at the end of the trail as well. Anyone else camping?

I hope your talking about driving up to the trail, and not your personal life
I will find a meeting spot and get back to everyone
If everyone is coming up Saturday morning thru Angles Camp a good spot to meet up might be at the Kwik Serv in Arnold they have gas and a small market for snacks, drinks, ice, scotch, etc. Its takes about the same amount of time from the Kwik Serv to Slick Rock as it is to Deer Valley just about an hour +/-
So the big question is what time to meet up 8:00 or 8:30 I will already be up in Arnold so it makes no difference to me, but I don't know how far you all are driving so you guys tell me.

it's about 40 - 45 minutes up to Bear Valley the last stop for gas. Indy not sure how much that V8 drinks
but if you need more gas this would be the place to get it. And then about 20 + minutes to Hermit Valley where the trail starts

And it ends up at Hope Valley on Hwy 88

If anyone is camping
Friday night Hermit Valley Camp Ground is a dry camp and no services. 
If anyone is camping Saturday night there is a large meadow about 3/4 of the thru the trail, also there is Upper and Lower Blue Lake and Twin Lake

8:30 would be better for me. But if everyone wants to start early, I'm ok with that as well. V8 is not any worse than the 4.0 ... Might even be better.
Found this video on youtube that talks about the history of Deer Valley trail. I thought it was interesting so figured I'd share it.
