What's the reason you'll need new wheels again? Hub won't fit through the center hole? Or too wide?

The new hubs will stick out further. With my current backspacing (3.75") it's going to push the front wheels out even further, thus causing issues when the suspension cycles. The center bore on these current wheels will fit the hub just fine, it's the backspacing that's an issue.

Got it. I am running 3.75" backspace with the hubs kit. So, I was wondering what it was. My bumpstop stops the tire for my old stock fenders, so I'm golden for now until I rip it apart and re adjust for the little extra the MCE offered.

Did Blaine say the decrease in backspace from the hub kit would create interference issues? I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that the reason you can’t use these wheels is because the scrub radius would be poor. Maybe because he’s fighting for every fraction of an inch under there fitting those 12” shocks.

I’m running 4” backspace wheels and the hub kit with no interference issues and I never noticed the bad scrub radius. For me I think being able to add in a bunch of caster improved the handling so much that everything much better with the hubs. This is all with .25” more backspace than you would have.

Yep, and my issue is that my wheels are currently 3.75" backspacing. So that leaves me having to order new wheels which would be around $3000. I could sell my wheels and offset the cost, but I'm still left having to swap tires (not much fun on beadlock wheels).

Then there is the cost of the hub kit and probably some other stuff I am leaving out.

It may end up that I go down this path eventually anyways. If I could find someone to pay top dollar for my wheels I might be tempted to do it. These wheels are $600 a piece, so $3000 for a set. Maybe if someone paid me $2500 or so I might do it.
I'll give you $2500 for the wheels if you leave your tires on them ;)

For now I am still running the factory air lockers. Eventually I'll replace the front with a Detroit full case and the rear with an ARB or Eaton. I wanted them on separate switches though since I have grown to loath the factory Rubicon locker functionality.

The way Blaine set those switches up is so that the light on the switch illuminates when power is sent to locker pump. The indicator light above lights up when locker is locked.

I've had my eye on the Setrab cooler since I saw Blaine mention it. Which model did he install?

Hey man, just doing what I can to avoid a hub kit. You never got to ride in @psrivats TJ. I’ve never experienced vibes like that before. That was surreal.

This photo was taken at ride height. This wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't for the mid-arm. The upper control arm on the mid-arm is much longer than a short arm and at a different angle. This causes the arm to crash into the headers with anymore than an inch of up-travel.

I was the test dummy for finding out if this would work on a mid-arm setup so at least we now have an answer. If it was a short arm setup I wouldn't have an issue.
