That’s true! I thought they put steps on the mini-boatsides for “convenience” of people getting in and out.

However, with this cage, I’m not sure jts “convenient” for people to remove the whole cage to get the dash off.

If that is the case then why are these still being made? Again I am not even close to knowing anything abut this type of stuff.
I also remember when that one Jeep rolled at Moab and that was what convinced more people that this wasn't a bad design. Again I don't know one way or the other.

Supposedly the stanchions bolting to the dash is what makes them stronger. Or this is the claim.

Most never roll their Jeep. It's the same reason why for most tires don't matter, control arms don't matter, winches don't matter. Nothing matters because most people are building ice cream Jeeps.

Here are some roll cage pillars/stanchions that don't block access to the dash. I know some feel these are POS but just thought I'd share.

You ever stop being silly? You see those three fucking button head screws going forward by the TMR logo? Yeah, those are the fucking problem. They are what blocks the dash removal. That and the only folks who don't think those are pieces of shit are morons who do not know how shit works.

Yeah, that's why I get weary about who is spotting me. I've been out wheeling with some guys who have questionable skills as a spotter.

I recall others using a heat gun to reshape the ductwork around the A pillars passing through the dash.

I installed several of the Poly cages and neither lost the vent functionality nor used a heat gun on them.

Is there anyone still offering a thru the dash kit or is it you have to find a shop to do it?

In my searches, I haven't seen anyone offering a through-the-dash kit, so it looks like those are all custom builds. Blaine mentioned a few pages back about why Poly no longer sells that through-the-dash cage. Sounds like the only people to blame are the customers themselves.

I was about to ask what the hell that thing was in front of the grille

Then I realized it was a kidney grille

When that video was first posted, Jim B. the spotter, turned away and was talking to TJRon while he was supposed to be spotting Tracey. She got off line and when he turned back to see what was going on, she was already too high on the wall. The video got edited after that. Also if you watch a quality version closely, the windshield frame never takes a hard hit. The canyon is too narrow and the factory B pillar and grill take most of the damage and protect the A pillar.
