Spare tire and brake light options

Cavfab makes a spare delete plate that bolts up to existing holes but you have to add a brake light or combo license plate light. I got my combo light from Genright but then had to solve for the plate illumination power which doesn’t exist on the tailgate.

The tailgate on my '98 disagrees. There has been a 32" tire hanging on it since I bought the Jeep in 2004 and the hinges are still OK.
Dunno if other years are different.

I've had a 35" on mine for 12 years.
