Let’s see the first Jeep you owned, the one that started you down the Jeep rabbit hole.

Mine was a ‘92 YJ SE I purchased used in 1993. Barely making minimum wage I thought it would be a great idea to take on some debt! This picture was taken in the winter of 93/94 on a road trip with my then girlfriend (now wife) from Charleston, SC to Pittsburgh, PA. We stopped in Gettysburg on the way up and due to all the snow had the park pretty much to ourselves. Sure do miss my old YJ!

They're fun vehicles, that's for sure.

Just don't try to go flexing like crazy off-road. You'll tweak that unibody to the point where doors won't open very easily anymore and what not!

Never happened to that XJ of mine, but I know friends who did it!

+1. Well to prevent the insanity I did as a teen I opted for a 2wd we can convert to 4x4 later on in life.

'77 CJ-5. Straight 6, 3-speed manual. Gobs of fun!

It started for me with a project 47 Willy's pick up that the PO put a flat head Ford V8 in. A project that I picked up with hopes to finish but never got around to.
A few years later I picked up a 74 CJ 5 with the 304 in it. This was my plow rig for
a couple of years, and ended up trading it for a nice 78 Ford F-150 with a plow.
I had a bunch of pick ups for the next 10 years, and my wife saw a TJ parked next to us, and mentioned that we should get one.
That week we traded our 99 Chrysler 300 for a 97 TJ SE. Had to trade that one for vehicle my wife could use for rural mail delivery.
At that time I had a 07 new Ram pick up, and was tired of making payments on, so I sold it and picked up an 04 TJ sport that I ended up selling when I bought a Caliber SRT 4.
Currently we have my 97 Sahara and my wife's 15 JKUR.
It's a sickness I tell ya!

no that got traded in on the wife's Benz, I lasted 6 months and "upgraded" to my TJ

My first one I have owned myself not counting my immediate family was a 76 CJ7 looks just like this one, but it was yellow. I will see if I can dig up pics. I don't think I have any digital though. I may have to get it scanned in. I was invented long before digital cameras.

yeah it was nice, I still have the strike force zebra half doors to it at my shop......I figured there is a good chance I might get another one at some point so I don't want to kick myself for dumping them.

My wife's '96 XJ impressed the hell out of me, and still does. Bought it with 102,000 miles on it, and it now has 171,000.
