What's on your winter upgrade / TODO list?

I'll be replacing the front fenders and hood. The hood is fine but the PO installed a Poison Spyder hood louver and it offends me. I prefer a more original look. BTW, this is an old pic - the fender rust has progressed to large holes.

Torque box repair
Genright body mounts
Savvy body lift

I have everything for this minus the hydro assist cylinder. Just need to find the time.

The only thing that changed on this list is I have all my hydro assist parts. Still need to find the time though😅

This is the long list of parts I have piled up awaiting installation on my LJ:

Revolution Gear 4.88 Gears with REM Finishing
Barnett Dana 44 Differential Covers
LUX MAX Rock Lights
Custom 7-rocker Switch Panel Above Rearview Mirror
Custom Rocker Switch Panel in Center Dash

Cutting and Raising Rear of Frame to Match Body Lift
RockJock Bump Stops
New Dana/Spicer Ball Joints
Artec Racing Quart Crate for Spare Fluids Organization

Fumoto USA Quick-drain Oil Valve
Air Tank and Coalescing Filter for York OBA System
Poly Performance Shock Towers for Front and Rear Shocks
Fox 2.0 Shocks with DSC Reservoirs (11" front/12" rear)
BMB Shock Reservoir Mounts
Savvy Mid-Arm Lift w/ 4” Lift RockJock Springs
Savvy Gas Tank Skid and Steering Box Skid
Savvy Engine and Transmission Skid
Custom Crossmember and Skid
RCV Front Axles

I still need to purchase these:

35" BFG KM3 Tires
Steering Damper (brand T.B.D.) bought a Rancho (actually, two, so I have a spare) and re-painted it
New Tom Wood Driveshafts

I had hoped to have started this work by now, but I decided to replace the 5.4L engine in my elderly Ford Expedition first so that I have a backup vehicle. I'm elbows-deep in that project right now. Hopefully, I'll start the LJ stuff by Thanksgiving, and I definitely want to be done by early spring next year!

Well, I had forgotten I made this post last fall until Longwhitejeep liked it recently. Sadly, the redlined changes are all I have to show for a year's time passing. I haven't been slacking, though. In addition to a bunch of other projects around the sab homestead that always take away from build time, I also accomplished the following opportunistic mods on the ol' LJ:

Installed GMRS radio
Modified and installed Genright corner armor (with proper backing plates) and got it professionally painted
Got the hood shroud professionally painted
Had a set of headlight bezels professionally painted body color
Replaced RMS, valve cover gasket, oil pan, and oil pan gasket
Installed B&M shift tower
Got half doors repaired and professionally repainted, then installed with BullDawg uppers
Installed the BMB quick-release front license plate bracket

I was just about to get started on it, again, but I just lost 4th gear in my DD, so I'll be rebuilding that transmission now instead. :(

These are just my wants/ideas, so nothing for sure yet:

1. 17” Beadlocks
2. 17” tires
3. Corner armor
4. Genright 0” Boulder’s
5. Touch up frame, bumpers, and sliders
6. Tie Rod Flip (have parts)
7. Frame raise (have parts)
8. Keep learning about suspension geometry

Still need to move to 17's, not sure on Beadlocks, but why not? I still have good tread on 15's so staying with that for now.
Corner armor is done
Genright done, but went with 4" and glad I did
Tie Rod Flip is done

I need a new transmission
I need to do the RMS seal and a new oil pan
I want to build some 7075 links for mid-arm control arms
Keep collecting parts for outboard and mid-arm

I'll have the money, but we need to do a lot of house stuff, so blah.

Hopefully get the following done before the new year:

1” to a 1.25” BL, Savvy Tummy Tuck/Engine Skid, RMS seal, and Banks Sidewinder Turbo.

- I have a UCF extra clearance transfer case skid that’s been hanging on my shop wall for months just waiting to be installed.

-Maybe some cheap Amazon rock lights that’s been sitting in the shelf since spring.

There a 50/50 chance I’ll get neither done. 🤣

Well, I did get the UCF skid installed back at the beginning of the year.

Still no rock lights though.

* Downstream O2 sensors (just arrived yesterday, hopefully can avoid replacing cats for a while...)
* Due Again: Rotate tires & spare (just did this morning)
* Replace or repaint door handles and rebuild inside mechanisms (they are spongy and don't always unlock easily...)
* Re-finish fender flares (SEM Satin Black)
* Replace driver side door seal (passenger was replaced last year and solved a TON of small drips inside)
* Research window trim for full doors (the felt lined part the window rides in)
* Maybe upgrade the stereo (factory unit takes about 10 minutes to turn on in the mornings, comes on, cuts out right away until it's warmed up)
* Finally get my rear bumper tie-ins installed so I can tow the quad without worry...(Never on the highway the way it is now, only through town 35mph to the dirt roads)

Wow, I did virtually nothing I wanted to last year.
Maybe this winter?

I have been slacking on doing a ton of small things on the Jeep, but mostly because I have been wheeling every other weekend on average since May.

"Winter" here in AZ is when your garage cools into the 80's.....

I bought the "kits" to rebuild my 2 front seat carriages a couple years back. Been waiting until I had time to also install sound deadening and new carpet. This "Winter" is it.
