I have a explded front axle ujoint and need to move the rubi to where I can replace the jjoint and shafts.
You can't drive it like that. You can either remove the inner axle shaft so you can drive it or have it put on a flat bed truck. If you remove the inner shaft so you can drive it make sure to leave the outer stub shaft installed as that's what holds the unit bearing hub together.I have a dis axle ujoint and need to move the rubi to where I can replace the

Retainer broke and one cap felll out of joint. I found it when I connected sway bar. I have ordered axle assembly. I need to move it about 50 miles. Would a dolly be ok with front wheels raised?
Just pull the shaft out with the unit bearing and separate the inner from the outer. Then reinstall the outer shaft together with the unit bearing. The unit bearing requires the outer shaft bolted to it in order to keep it from breaking in half. You can drive back and forth across the entire country that way.
And yes it'd be fine to take it home with the front-end up on a dolly. Shift the transfer case to Neutral before starting home.
Front or rear wheel lifts should not be used. Internal damage to the transmission or transfer case will occur if a front or rear wheel lift is used when recreational towing.
In my 2006 owner's manual it says this:

We need to stop doing this. How many folks run hub kits?
One thing that really bothers me with so many other forums is the general feeling of hostility you encounter as a new member. Go to almost any other forum and post a frequently asked question, and you'll typically be met with replies such as "Learn how to use the search feature!", and other rude remarks.
Who is "we", what is "this" and where does the OP mention hub kits?
If your response is based on my lack of knowledge, then here is what is @Chris wrote on the About page for the forum:
If your response is not based on my lack of knowledge then I would appreciate if you could elaborate on what the issue is with what is written in the owner's manual. Thanks!

I hope it's okay.
I have disconnected my front driveshaft (to reduce vibes) on several cross-country trips.
