I get a lot of members asking for details on my lift, so I thought it appropriate to provide the information on it here, along with some gratuitous photos of course ;)

Parts used in my 2.5" lift (3.5" with a 1.25" body lift) (under $600 for everything listed):

Rancho shocks tend to run long and 0-2" shocks fit much better than the 2-3" shocks I had originally installed.

1) Rancho RS5000X Shocks 0-2" (2 Front) — RS55128
2) Rancho RS5000X Shocks 0-2" (2 Rear) — RS55240
3) Pro Comp 2" Springs (Front) — EXP55297 (ebay sometimes has lower spring prices)
4) Pro Comp 2" Springs (Rear) — EXP55298 (ebay sometimes has lower spring prices)
5) OME Rear Track Bar Reloaction Bracket — ARB FKWTJ02
6) Rokmen 1/2" Aluminum Body Lift
7) Daystar.75" Spacers — KJ09108BK (note: only used above front springs for leveling)
8) Rock Krawler Bump Stop Extensions (Front and Rear) --RKSRK05611 (note: Comes with 6 1" extensions. Glue or bolt 1 to each spring bucket at the bottom of the front springs; I used this RTV Adhesive and it worked great (edit: 2 1/2 years and still holding strong). Then bolt 1 above each bump stop cup on rear springs)

I didn't need to lower the TC and had ZERO vibrations (YMMV). I also didn't need to make any drive line or control arm modifications.

note: You can easily make this lift over 3" by replacing the above 1/2" body lift with a 1.25" body lift and a JKS motor mount lift. This would be enough for 33s.

1) Savvy Aluminum 1.25" Body Lift
2) JKS 1" Motor Mount Spacer Lift

Here are top on/off photos to get a perspective of it with 265/75R16 tires (basically 32's):

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Years ago I wrecked my GSXR and needed to color match some plastics. I found some high end spray paint that was properly color coded. Prep was key, as was good stuff to prep with. I hit up an auto paint supply and picked their brains about how and what. Ended up looking good enough that I would have to point out where I painted.

The door panels on those half doors don't match, huh? They look like they are tan?

Rattle can color match? Following this project, as I plan the same when it warms up. What is '2k' clear coat?

Yes, rattle can base and clear coat.

2K clear coat, from what I've gathered is a coating that needs to be mixed with a hardener, catalyst or activator. Once it hardens it is much less susceptible to damage from chemicals, weather, or UV rays.

Finding anything in the OEM Khaki is almost impossible.

Tell me about it! I bought a brand new set of Khaki door panels from Jeeps R' Us just because I figured I would hold onto them since they don't make them any longer.

Might as well, right?

Damn! The only ones I found just now are close to $300 each side.

I've had really good luck in the past painting door panels, have you found any matching paint?

I got mine for $450 for the set, brand new in the factory Mopar boxes. They are sitting in my closet just because... I guess I didn't actually need them, I just figured why not?

I haven't found any matching paint, but I haven't actually been looking. At some point I will look though, since I know that the right paint can hold up nicely on interior parts. If you find a matching paint before I do, be sure to let me know! Khaki is an interesting color. Almost grey, but a bit of tan in there as well.

I like it more than black though, it's more unique.

Look in the SEM line for interior colors.

That dark khaki is impossible to find in paint. I think my choices will be to either 1) leave them tan 2) paint them black or 3) pay $600 for new ones. Number 3 it out, I would go black before paying that kind of $$$. I can always continue to search for used ones.

If anyone has black half door panels they want to trade for my tan one, I'm open to that.

Some automotive paint stores can match colors. You just have to find one that carries a bank of interior toners so they can match it. I worked at a PPG paint store for 15 years, and would color match all kinds of crazy stuff people brought in.
