Those sliders should last a long ass time, being protected by those beefy tube bars :meparto:
Right ON! Brilliant idea! Now my rock sliders will look perfect forever! :campeon:

Back up protection brah! Lol! You know Texan's, go big or go home!
That’s not always a good thing.

I also decided to use a rubber backing sheet on the sliders. I finally made this decision based on my body man’s preference for not putting metal to metal, even though he commented that it would probably be fine without it since the two pieces would not be moving. After researching various rubbers, I decided on EPDM sheets. If you’re considering this, check out the properties and uses of EPDM.

4 strips of 6”x36” with adhesive backing on one side should work well.

Thanks brah! I am impressed with them so far.

Those will fit the bill for you, and will look fanfuckingtabulous!
Thanks brah! I’m pumped, this is an important mod and I’ll feel much more secure on the trail.

Next mod coming will be out of nowhere, but highly useful.

EPDM is the material used in serpentine belts - I know you knew that :-)
That stuff will never wear out, very good choice from a longevity standpoint.
Careful when you peel off that backing, and apply, when it sticks to whatever, it don't wanna let go....

I did not know that motor genius. As for the adhesive, here’s what I was thinking, apply it to the back of the backplate, then trim and mount to the Jeep. What do you think?

That looks like Eterabond tape. I use it to seal rv roof seams. It’s great stuff.

Yes that's exactly how I would do it and in the order you just described.
Install it that way and it will still be there when your grandkids.are.drivin your jeep. :-)

This ^^^ is not fine art. The fine art is what is happening behind the tire

That’s not touching, but it’s very close. Shocks have 1/2” of travel left. Bumpstop is crushing the jounce. I hope you appreciated this. If you can it means something.

May or may not be fine art.... I think all Jeeps are art in some fashion :-)
As for the suspension... it's fine tuned.

You have to know what you are doing to get a tire to fit that snug in a wheel well without touching, in my humble rookie opinion . :-)

Likewise brah! You’re MC’d out TJ can do circles around me! Very nice, despite our favorite local forum naysayers.

If those naysayers could see both your rigs climb, @JMT red beast and @b0xcar silver metallic beast, they would think different.

I've watched both y all wheel your beasts and it seems your jeeps just climb right up any trail smoking a cigar... its fun to watch :-)

You should have seen the trails today. We pushed the limits! Had a few very tricky spots. Did a bunch of scraping. Left with a few battle scars and no breakage. Whew!!!
