K. I thought the bimmer was just a driver, not a project. More $ for the TJ then (y)

As long as he isn't saving the cash for something stupid like a ring.

I somewhat joke - being married to the right person is great, but a ring cost is ridiculous anymore.

The MR2 and... is the TJ the other?

MR2 more likely Tj more on the fence with. The TJ is alot easier to enjoy with others, the MR2 is really more of a solo type thing it feels. And I haven't bothered to do any track stuff even though I supposedly want to.

The beamer is staying, if I have to go down to 1 it'll be that. Low miles, efficient, comfy.

I can’t imagine more than one project car. I am also jealous of anyone having more than one project car.

It's cool in theory but it is a serious resource suck. I only have so much time and money, and sometimes (a lot of the time) they both need work

I may or may not be saving for that just in case it happens... But not the actual driving factor. Maybe I've been listening to too much Dave Ramsey lately wanting to have absolutely no debt like things are on fire

low/no debt is a great goal and very freeing.. Though some nuance is lost as it depends on the debt. If I can borrow at 4% to make 5-8% I am doing that all day. It's more about a debt coverage ratio you need to escape, but that's too nuanced for books and radio segments.

$28/day saved is $10K/yr. Do that from your age Trevor invested at 10% annual interest and you’re sitting pretty at 65.

I am doing pretty well retirement wise... It's the 30years until then I'm thinking about 🤣

I get that but I think what I'm feeling right now is more of a margin issue than a ROI thing. Too house poor, too many payments to have as much freedom as I want.

Pack a cheap lunch, don't buy lattes and eat out daily 👍

I WFH in the middle of nowhere so I rarely do any of these. I'm pretty frugal and on a budget but still want to be able to invest more, worry less

It's never too early to invest. Play the long game, and you'll have plenty of money later for project vehicles. Also, as @hosejockey61 said, finding a sugar mama doesn't hurt! :)
