You always have to have someone in the crowd get stuck. JB (bobthetj03) decided to turn around and got stuck. We have a little tradition in our group of Jeeper's. If you get stuck and can't get out on your own (can't use a winch), you have to hang the "Cow Bell" off the front of your Jeep until someone else gets stuck. Guess who is going to be wearing the Cow Bell?? :)

My winch failed me for the first time in the 10 years I've owned it. One of the pins in my remote broke off as I was plugging it in. Left it useless.

Left me with no way to spool the 12ft. of cable back in, so this was my setup for the trip home.

Had I been solo, I would have figured out a way to jump the solenoids to make the winch work, which is why it's always a good idea to go with a partner. Casey broke out the snatch block and fashioned a way to pull from the tree I was going to pull from.

Jim its better then mine though. I only used it once to spool and my motor was dead the text time I needed to tighten the slack after changing mounts. The in cab i did from 12voltguy was really easy. I think he lives in your neck of the woods.

That is next on my Xmas list for sure. I'm not going to get caught like that again. What would have been an easy, drama free pull turned into complications.

I also used the 12voltguy years ago when I put my in cab winch control inside my first Suzuki Samurai. Pretty easy to install.
