Cool! If you don't mind running lead, I think we'd have more fun heading up there if there is plenty of snow to get stuck in. You game @Alex01? What do you think @Lonewolf? Gone-n-done is still going to do the UTC run on the 4th if you want to hit that as well.

It is 162 going west out of Willows Ca to Elk Creek, then it turns into FH7 (adler spring road) till it comes out in Mendocino County to Covelo Ca where it turns back into 162

Well we made it all the way up to Plasket Meadows, there is about 2 inches on the ground and up to 4 inches in places. Fine Mountain dirt mixed with the snow all over the jeep. It was very sporty in the morning with everything still frozen, coming down the melt had begun. I would say there is plenty of snow up past PM towards Anthonys Peak if anyone is wanting to run this. There are lots of dry spots with no snow but tons of options to dick around

I think there is plenty of snow for the UTC run but I don't live down that way, and its probably higher elevation too. Plasket is around 5 k feet and Anthonys Peak is 6,900 feet

Thanks for the scouting Tom. Glad to see some snow up there. UTC is at 5000 ft. elevation and is 27 miles from Georgetown.

The highest point on WWSR is Hartless Mountain at about 6200’

HMM, in that case I am thinking the route you ran today may be more Fun for my run this weekend at least I would have dirt if I strike out on snow.

Hey @Thunderhead, have you been up to Black Butte Mt. ? I realize you can't make it to the summit, but there is a trail that should get you to 7000ft. It's the tallest mountain in all of Mendocino National Forest, but I'm sure you knew that, lol!
