I'm going to be switching to a 4" lift and adding a ucf high clearance skid. Should I get the ssye or would I be fine with the normal sye?
SYE or Super Short SYE?

I would do it right and do it once and get the super short. I had a standard SYE on 4" lift and it worked. I then did a UHC tummy tuck and it worked. I then went to savvy mid arm/outboard 12" shocks and it did not work so I had to do the super short.
What brand ssye would you recommand? Also what additional things need added? I was reading that a different speedo gear/ system was possible needed
SSYE would probably be a better choice since it would give you more droop before binding.
Maybe @tworley will chime in since he runs a SSYE on a early model TJ. I believe he uses a speedo healer to run the speedo.

Its the size of the U joint that the driveshaft uses. Go with 1310.
Go with the 1310. You’ll get better movement out of the joint before binding due to its smaller size
As far as the drive line goes does it make more sense to install everything than measure and buy. Or just buy it up front?
If you're ordering a custom driveshaft installing everything then measuring would be the most accurate. TW has about a 3 day turn around. Also, pay the extra $20 for the X spline.
X2. JB conversions super short and the speedo healer. Make sure you get the correct torque on the output shaft nut (220 ft/lbs IIRC) otherwise your readings will be all over the place. The speedohealer takes all but 10 min to install and calibrate. I am not experiencing any bind with 1310 joints, a savvy tuck, and 12" travel shocks.
Absolutely. Install the sssye, get your pinion close to dialed in, then measure. Tom Wood can ship a shaft quick, plus they've done this enough to know exactly what you need. They're in UT so shipping should be within a week if not sooner

Its also worth mentioning that the speedometer will function without the speedohealer. The electronic sensor in the JB Conversions Super Short will plug directly into the factory speedometer plug. The SpeedoHealer is just to correct the inacuracies that come from regearing and different tire size.
I like working with a guy who knows wiring. Where we used to run wires from the signal wires at the t-case connector, now we just run them about 2 feet. He takes apart the PCM connectors, finds the signal wires there, we cut and splice right there and then go into right under the right side air bag with the Accuspeed. Very clean and simple.
