Yeah, I am going to do it myself. I think I’ll remove the drivers side fender entirely to make it easier to install.

Awesome - will need to see pics. (hopefully not many broken bolts).

It’d be easier with it removed but there’s a lot of stuff on that fender and lots of bolts to remove. At least that’s my opinion and my memory of removing my fenders.

Swapping my exhaust when my cats failed didn’t take maybe an hour or two.

You just have to be careful to get that damn manifold gasket seated properly. Can you use anti-seize on those exhaust and intake manifold bolts?

I don’t recall if I used any anti seize.

I just recommend a ratchet or breaker bar before power tools.

Guess I had mine off to replace a rear main seal also.

@Chris Thinking about this more. You may have to pull the fender to do the manifold. I forgot that you are getting more than a cat back.

If you have a new gasket I believe you have to remove the intake manifold also.

That was my thought. In order to remove the entire exhaust manifold I’ve got to remove the intake manifold. Doing all that seems like removing the fender would make it a lot easier.

If I was just doing the cats, then it wouldn’t be necessary.

Yep, that’s what I’ll do. It may be a lot of work, but it’s better than the alternative.

I'm going to go against the grain here. It doesn't look difficult doing it with the fender attached IMO. It would likely be more annoying dealing with the stuff attached to the fender dangling all over the place. I would however pull the massive windshield wiper fluid reservoir.

This is what happens when you use bolts that are too long to hold the front bumper on

The nut that is spot welded onto the nut plate inside the front bumper has broken off. It looks like I’ll have to fabricate a new nut plate and use my Dremel to try and get the old one off.
